I visited Monterrey for a conference at El Tec and stayed here for several nights. I don’t speak Spanish fluently, so navigating the area was a bit challenging at times. It’s definitely not a tourist zone — but the hotel staff were helpful. There was always at least one person at the front desk who spoke English, which made a big difference.
The room itself was clean, modern, and fairly basic, but very comfortable. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and even on days when the smog outside was intense, the air inside the room always felt clean. There are lots of food options within walking distance, plus a small pharmacy right next door, which was convenient.
Breakfast was decent, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. They let me check in early, held my luggage without issue, and overall made the stay smooth. The only downside is that the nearby bars can get very loud at night, so light sleepers may want to bring earplugs.
Overall, a solid stay if you're visiting the area for work or school and want something clean, comfortable, and well located near El Tec.
