Nice stay with free breakfast. I stayed in a single room with shared bathroom and I appreciated the cleanliness and attention to sanitization.

Lovely clean, comfortable basic family hotel. Comfy bed, lift, air con and buffet breakfast with homemade cappuccino. And free parking. What's not to love.

Hotel basico, quindi senza nessun orpello... obiettivamente al limite, insomma un po' tristarello... ma escludendo questo aspetto pulitissimo, servizi essenziali presenti (armadio, scrivania, condizionatore, tv, piano appoggio), parcheggio auto interno, e colazione decisamente buona e varia per un hotel di questo livello... Insomma una buona scelta in relazione al prezzo...

I just needed a place to stay near central Modena, so the place was just what I needed. For me free parking (and parking in general) is very important, so they have private place for many cars. Reception was very friendly and we had fun.Not much to to in neighbourhood. Just a pizza-place in 200 m...good one, though!

The staff was very nice and helpful. It was close to a bus stop, so I could walk easily from there to get to the hotel. They had air conditioning, which was great, since it was incredibly hot in Italy at that time. I would have liked screens on the windows, due to the mosquitos that were abundant then. But the AC helped me deal with the heat. My bed was very comfortable, and the room was spacious.

The Albergo Moderno was substantially better than a "hostel", although the configuration was similar. The place was spotlessly clean. My room was good but smaller than I had expected from the photos, with a single bed, which was fine. The bathroom was shared with one other person, although I didn't see anyone else using it, right next door to my bedroom, and it was spotless. The front desk was very helpful and breakfast far exceeded my expectations. For a night or two it felt like a safe place. It was clean and in good condition, just a couple of kilometers from the city and easy to navigate. There was a pizza restaurant/bar 50 metres away that was a great place to spend some time. WiFi was good.

Great basic hotel that gets the job done. Fantastic breakfast and lovely staff. A bit out of way - it’s a 30 min walk to Modena centre, but overall a very good value hotel.

Ideal stop for viewing Modena. Old time albergo with a twist. Clean and comfortable, easy parking. Good value stopover.

Leider Licht und Schatten: - Ich hatte bei Buchung um ein ruhiges Zimmer gebeten. Stattdessen: Straßenlärm, Lärm vom Flur/Treppenhaus, Lärm aus anderen Zimmern (hellhörige Wände). Resultierte in sehr unruhigem Schlaf. Zudem: Kein abnehmbarer Duschkopf, lieblose Einrichtung, nur eine nutzbare Steckdose. - Positiv: Preis, Parkplätze, herzliches Personal, Frühstück absolut OK.
