Simple but everything you need and right in the historic quarter.

This excellent hostal has amazing air conditioning, wi-fi, water pressure and is located in Malaga's pedestrianized old town, but less than a block from a street if you need to catch an early morning uber to the airport.

Very conveniently located. Basic but perfect for our needs. Friendly staff. Sink in the bathroom is very small. Was incredibly loud until 3am but there were the viernes sante processions taking place. On a normal day I'm not sure what the noise levels would be like.

We were greeted with a smile and given lots of useful information. The check in was swift and efficient. Our room was spotlessly clean and creatively decorated to maximise the appeal of a tight space. The floor was definitely showing signs of age.The bathroom was tiny but the lighting and water pressure were both good. We were looking for something that was keenly priced and was located in the heart of Málaga. This little gem certainly delivered all we wanted and needed for a comfortable and pleasant overnight stay.

This was a short overnight stay. The property was on the edge of the Old Town and within walking distance of the train station. It was small but clean and comfortable. There are several restaurants and cafes in the area. The instructions to get in were clear and easy.

Very satisfied on the whole with the property and our stay. The room was clean and well decorated. The staff were great and it is very convenient for the city. Only a few small issues :- The walls/doors didn't offer much sound insulation so you here noise at times. Also, the curtains in our room were white and thin, so light came in. At times there seemed to be issues with power. This was easy resolved, but would have been better if it hadn't happened at all.

Excelente location, conditions and Staff service.

Check in is easy and smooth since there’s a counter and I arrived on time. But I believe it’s easy to pick up the key outside working hours also. The location is just fantastic. In the city center with metro station L1, airport train C1, carrefour express, main square and shopping area all around, without feeling very noisy during the day and night. Maybe not the best part of the city for party but still accessible for bars and restaurants with few minutes walk. My room is of great size and comfort. AC, wifi, toilet and shower work perfectly. For me it’s totally no problem but some people who can’t climb stairs to 3rd floor, it’s gonna be a bit difficult.

Staff were great, so nice and very helpful. Room needed a bit of a refresher, some possible signs of mold in the bathroom. AC worked great and it was a perfect escape from the busy streets just outside which was exactly what we needed.

We were really impressed with our one night stay in Hostal Viadamia. It felt more like a boutique hotel than a hostel. We received a very warm welcome, were able to check in early and store our bags and our room was very comfortable. The bathroom was certainly not suitable for taller people but otherwise it was good. It was great being able to make use of the common room upstairs and we really loved the location.

Great location! The bed was super firm. Hostel was noisy — thin walls, not for a light sleeper.

A hostel environment with hostel prices but I had ensuite and the room was very comfortable. I was also expecting it to be a little noisy but not at all!

Cheap and cheerful, in a fantastic location in the heart of the old town

La habitación no era lo que esperábamos. Nos tocó una habitación con ventana a un patio interior y no podíamos abrir la ventana ya que estaban las máquinas de los aires que desprendían olor y mucho ruido. El baño tan pequeño que en el retrete nos teníamos que sentar de lado. No podíamos dar presión a la alcachofa de la ducha ya que si lo hacíamos, la alcachofa salía disparada porque no sujetaba bien en la pared. En la ducha teníamos que entrar de lado. La habitación no olía bien. Me dieron la opción de cambiar de habitación, pero debía llevarse a cabo entre unas horas muy limitadas que ellos establecieron y obviamente nosotros al estar de turismo, no estábamos en la habitación para realizar el cambio. Como comentarios positivos, la cama muy cómoda ,el hostal muy bien situado, y un espacio común muy agradable .

I liked the location, price, staff, working AC. I did pay extra for a private bathroom, but it literally was 25 feet down the hallway. I wasn’t thrilled about that in the middle of the night, but it wasn’t the end of the world.

It’s a great location and was quiet at night to sleep. It was disappointing that the communal area (access to the microwave) closed at 2pm, instructions could perhaps be updated to reflect what is accessible during this Covid-19 period. The space was cleaned thoroughly and bed comfy enough.

Great price for a clean room with a comfy bed, right in the old town close to bars and restaurants. Friendly staff who made it easy to access the room even outside reception opening times.
