I have been staying in this hotel for more than 10 times. I like the strategically located hotel at Bayan Baru area, nearby bus stop, food court and Sunshine Square. For this current trip, I purposely booked a superior deluxe room which comes with a fridge to store my baby's food and milk. I was initially given room 210. However, when I checked in, the room was warm and the air conditioning was not functioning well. So the hotel staff checked and told us to move to ground floor room 108 at 7:30 PM, to which we obliged. I enquired if there is another superior deluxe room, however, due to full occupancy, there was none. So the staff told us to stay at room 108 while the technician will repair the air conditioning the next day (Tuesday) due to long public holidays. The staff told us that they were unable to shift the portable fridge from room 210 down to 108 as their asset is fixed. Thus, they told us to stay put at 108 without the fridge. I was not happy and managed to talk to their manager, Ms. Gaya. She apologized for the inconvenience caused and gave me the permission to use both rooms (108 & 210) for the fridge while waiting for the technicians to repair the air conditioning. She advised that probably my family may have to shift back to room 210 once the air conditioning is fixed. Room 108 is smaller than 210. The air conditioning is functioning well and cold. But the room is noisy as it is located near the lobby and a small road beside it. Cars and motorcycles can be heard moving regularly day and night. There is a Chinese restaurant next to it and the fumes can be smelt into the room whenever cooking is done, thus causing discomfort. I must congratulate and thank Ms. Gaya for her professionalism and understanding in handling my situation. She was very kind and apologetic to us. Unlike her two other staff who were not friendly and snobbish in telling me to post a negative review should I am not happy with the room condition, of which I am humbly doing now. Ms. Gaya deserves a pay rise as senior manager.
