The Good: Fantastic location—nestled in a quiet valley between Sintra Historical Center and the train station, with beautiful views in every direction. Hidden stone stairways lead up to both areas, making walks much shorter. The apartment is recently renovated and includes onsite parking. Amenities are standard, check-in was easy Note: check-in is off-site, but the apartment has keyless entry (touchpad), so no keys needed and the apartment is less than one minute drive away from check-in location The Bad: The A/C immediately began dripping on the tile floor. I didn’t report it to avoid waiting for repairs or having someone enter while we were out—used a bucket and napkins to manage the sound. The rear bedroom shower had a broken shower head mount; the head dangled across the shower valve—very annoying. A puddle appeared under the kitchen hot water heater on the first morning, ruining stored food. Again, I didn’t report it to avoid disruption. The Ugly: Private car travel is restricted in Sintra’s historical center. Driving from the check-in to the apartment took under a minute—but a return drive to the check-in location was over 15 minutes due to rerouted roads. Unless you're a resident, taxi, tour van, or bus, expect detours. Thankfully, the apartment sits at the end of a two-way road, but plan extra time when exiting.

We had made a reservation at the hotel and were placed in an apartment. The quiet setting would have been nice but the apartment itself was bare bones and lacking in most amenities. It was devoid of any of the things we would have expected in a regular hotel. There was no coffee, or basic condiments one would have in an apartment. There were two forks but one was badly bent and unusable. The bathroom had no hooks for towels or basic shelving, the cosmetic mirror over the sink was inappropriately situated, the shower had no where to even place soap, the bathroom light was on a motion sensor which made go off and on repeatedly when the bathroom was in use, and we had to ask for fresh towels after three nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but we would not recommend the Blue apartment.

Positives: location was great. Being able to park onsite was also a plus. Negatives: musky smell the entire time. Towels and sheets remained damp the entire stay. Wondering if the property has a water or mold problem.

I was able to change from the apartment to the hotel due to no Wi-Fi and mould. The staff made this change quickly and kindly. The hotel was in a better location than the apartment. The included breakfast at the hotel had lots of variety.

We loved the property! It was very close to everything: up the steps to Old Town Sintra and walkable to all of the sites. One night, a scrap of food was left on the table, and there were many ants the next morning. They seemed to be from the hallway baseboard, so be sure to put any open food in the refrigerator. Staff was informative and helpful. Overall, a great stay!

The free parking at apt. Was hard to get into and daycare employees next door blocked our car so could not get out. We had to find out who cars belonged to and ask them to move. Check in man did not warn us though manager says it happens all the time. The apt. was very nice and well located.

The service at the front desk was very good. Polite, informative and spoke great English. The room Was very nice, in a great location but did have a funny musty smell as others have mentioned. Overall though we enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book again.

Great place to stay. Bright and large apartment. Unfortunately the shower heads on the primary bedroom broke and many light bulbs around the apartment were not working. Very minor but overall were happy with our stay.

Apartment was spacious and quiet. It sits at the bottom of a steep hill so be prepared to climb a hill. Room was a bit musty but cleared out fairly well after opening up the windows

Spacious duplex apartment with 2 bedrooms, 2 and1/2 bathrooms. Well equipped. Very kind/polite staffs. Roomy and secure parking. Could leave a car till 4PM after checkout as the hotel allowed. Even if you cannot, there is paid paring lot next to the apartment. Convenient to climb up to the square of Sintra National Palace. Nice views but lingering musty smell. Had to open up windows. Very weak/wobbly stair hand railing. Be very cautious not to fall down accidentally. Little hard to drag suitcases on slopped/bumpy path to the apartment. Convenient to use cheap Uber. There is a shortcut just outside the apartment connecting to the road Volta Du Doche. Getting on/off from the wide road for Uber was convenient instead of the narrow/congested road near the entrance to the paid parking lot. Reaching to Sintra Boutique Hotel for check in could be challenging for those who are not familiar to driving on narrow roads.

There was a problem with the apartment - it smelled terribly moldy. But the staff were quick to help us out and moved us into the hotel. The room was beautiful and even included a bidet! Great location close to historical sites, shopping and dining.

It was in such a beautiful setting, and the walk to city center was so lovely. Nice treats waiting for us in the Fridge. And your conciege was more than helpful as we arrived way before checkin at the wrong address. Even so we got picked up by your staff and allowed in our apartment. Above and beyond service.
