Brilliant comfortable stay and pizza restaurant onsite wonderfully memorable, plus good breakfast

This is an excellent location, about 15-20 minutes outside of Galway. The room was clean, included two twins and was comfortable. We were on the top floor which was up two flights of stairs, only annoying when bringing the luggage in. There was parking for about 6-8 vehicles in the back, we didn't have trouble finding a space but the lot was full each morning. Breakfast started at 8:30am which wasn't an issue for us but was later than we expected. You order off the menu at the restaurant and it was really good. Highly recommend purchasing some pastries - they were delicious. The pizza restaurant below is also amazing so great location for a meal. We would recommend this location.

The staff couldn’t do enough. Room was pristine. I was running late for breakfast and they managed to get me a takeout coffee and sandwich. Couldn’t ask for more. I’ll be back. Also it’s great to have off street parking.

Clean as a whistle, comfy bed, delicious food, good parking and very maintained. Loved our experience, quite a beautiful place

For an overnight stay the Barracks were perfect. Staff were really attentive and helpful and the food at dinner in particular was excellent. Athenry is a nice town for a wander around in the evening. All in all highly recommended.

Very clean, updated hotel with comfortable beds and bathroom. Inn was located over their pub/restaurant which was not a problem. In fact, the pub served excellent food including a delicious fresh salad and wood-fired pizza. We had to check out too early to enjoy what looked like a top notched breakfast, so the kind manager compensated us with reduced price for dinner. Very nice experience.

Excellent customer service, all staff very attentive, helpful and friendly. They include a full breakfast each day the room is reserved. They offer free parking in two lots so you won't have to pay for street parking. The restaurant serves fresh and amazing food that is served quite quickly. Many places to eat /drink nearby, town is easy walk to historic sites.

Great stay and excellent breakfast. Park behind the guest house and check-in at the restaurant across the street. Everyone I had contact with was friendly and helpful. If you want a different take on pizza, go to the pizza place on the corner, adjacent to the guest house -- very yummy!

Scott was very helpful, friendly and funny too. Very accommodating and gave us ideas on local things to do. Great stay!

Outstanding place ro stay in Athenry

MICHAEL!!! We’ve been in Ireland for 5 nights and have stayed in 5 different places. The Lodge was above all our favorite! Michael was so warm and welcoming and had the best suggestions. The pizza place next-door is amazing! We were in Italy, 2 Christmases ago and this pizza was even better!

Lovely stay, the room was clean and we had a delicious breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

We loved The Lodge at the Old Barracks! We were greeted by name for checkin and recognized by staff the next morning at breakfast. Everyone was delightful, and the place was lovely! Room was big with a great view of the vilkage and restaurant across the street. Breakfast was delicious! Stay - you'll be glad you did.

Lovely lodge and inn with personal services. Proprietor greeted us by name and walked us to our room. Morning staff at the restaurant knew us and were most helpful! Breakfast was delicious! We will stay again if our journeys bring us this way again! Next time, we will plan to arrive early enough for dinner at the Lodge!

Easy parking, good communication from host, great breakfast, clean and very comfortable.

Wonderful work lace to stay!

Check in was not smooth, took 20 minutes with us standing awkwardly in restaurant. Breakfast doesn't start until 8:30, which made it useless for us. Everything in between was fine
