The air conditioning didn't work in our room. They knew about it before we checked in and didn't tell us. When we tried to open the windows, the screens were broken off and not replaced.

Room was dirty couch stained Shower curtain sour Bedspreads had black marks on each of the two queens

Checked in, got to our room, it was 77 degrees. A small fan was on the table attempting to cool the room as we discovered shortly the ac wasn't working, no other rooms available so we were refunded our money and got a room last minute at the Hyatt house. Of course it was $350.00 compared to the $250.00 at the courthouse. What aggravates me is that they knew the ac wasn't working, why else would they have the table fan set up. I'm sure they were hoping we'd just deal with the no AC and they'd still get revenue for the room. Won't be staying there.

Breakfast was underwhelming. Rooms were spacious and clean. Thunder Bay was sketchy, probably would skip it next time.

Love the history of this hotel. It was a courthouse. High ceilings and beautiful woodwork throughout. Staff very helpful. Rooms clean although no hairdryer in our room. Second time staying there.

I have copd and booked on June 22, was told room was maybe warm , other customers had complained, I like a cool room for breathing , was not able to get another room as none avail , so had to cancel

At almost $300 / night, our Courthouse hotel room was spacious, but it was located in the basement of the building. Obviously, our view was next to nil, since the windows were very high. This was disappointing, especially at that price point. One curtain would not fully close, which was concerning due to our basement hotel room. The small fridge in our room did not work. It had been unplugged as there were bit enough outlets in the room. When I plugged it in, the small fridge was loud, and it did not cool down. There was no hair dryer in the hotel room.

Beautiful building, well maintained, very comfortable

Check-in time stated as 3pm, arrived at 4pm and the room still wasn’t ready for us, the lady at the front desk was also very unhelpful and unclear with us during this process. A/C was also broken so it was very hot during our stay. The room was beautiful, but I would not stay again or recommend to a friend.

It’s a beautiful hotel and the room was very impressive. The room size was much more like a suite than a regular hotel room and it was very elegant. However, the couch was full of stains which made me abstain from using it. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Beautiful quaint hotel with exceptional service. There are not a lot of amenities but the wonderful rooms make it worth the visit

A stunning and unique place to stay! Lovely breakfast included. A great view of the Bay, and just a short walk away.

Abysmal service and hospitality. The front lady seemed very careless and smug. Arrived to a room with electrical circuit issues and AC issues. Room was hot and she offered 10% off and a tiny fan. The screens were also cut out on the window so opening the window wasn’t really an option. Thunder bay hotels were full so we had no other options at 9:30pm. A phone call from the hotel earlier may have helped or frankly any heads up that the room was not going to be well serviced. Will not be returning to this hotel, after a sleepless night and very annoying interaction with the snobby front lady.
