This is a very smart and well put together offering, away from the main house with it's own entrance and parking directly outside the door - perfect for when you arrive in torrential rain like we did - make sure you look out for the specific signs for the cottages. The self check in really helped when a problem with our car meant we were unlikely to arrive late into the evening, and the staff were very quick to respond when I messaged about arriving late with all the details I needed. However, I would love to give it 5* based on all of this, but the reality is I had the worse night's sleep I have had in a long time! The pillows are very deep and very firm, my husband sleeps with a firm pillow and even he thought they were too much and we had to get rid altogether. Then there is a bright green light directly above the door which spreads quite wide, and they also have a decorative window in the door which lets a lot of light in from outside - so bring an eye mask if you've already booked! Lots of tea bags but only standard black tea which I haven't seen for a long time, so I didn't have any as I only drink herbal or green. All in all this is a lovely place on the surface but in reality it didn't result in a good night's sleep before a long working day so we won't be returning.

Room was really clean and comfortable, with some nice touches that elevated the experience. The rooms open straight off the car park, which perhaps doesn’t sound great but it improved accessibility and once in the room you couldn’t tell any difference between that and a normal hotel room. Tea and coffee facilities were supplied, but that was it in terms of catering facilities. This is stated on the listing and was no problem, but you should be aware as there are no onsite facilities for food and drinks, and the local pubs are are a walk down a road with no pedestrian walkways. We took food with us so had no problem. It surroundings are very peaceful and quiet, and it’s only a 20 min drive into the centre of Cardiff. We also had our dog (Labrador) with us. There was plenty of space and the fact the room opened onto the small car park was helpful to take him out.

A true gem of a find. I work as a contractor in Cardiff and finding nice, modern places to stay at affordable prices is getting harder. I found this lovely place recently and it was just how I imagined. Really tastefully decorated with very modern feel. I slept really well and will definitely come back again. An outstandingly brilliant find. Credit to the owners who have done a great job here.

Convenient location for St Fagans in a more rural setting. Quiet spot with just a few cottages. Room was easy to access and had all the facilities available. Spacious bathroom and bedroom.

Beautiful setting, very well looked after. The room was spotless it had everything you needed. A lovely welcome. We wanted to book in early as we had to be somewhere. The lovely lady on the phone arranged it no problem. I would highly recommend this place.

Lovely clean room, satnav found location but there were shrubs over the brown sign so it took us a little while to find the accommodation. Key lock Box worked well giving us flexibility for check in.

A lovely place to stay! Our cottage was perfect, good size and beautifully decorated. Such a peaceful place, easy to get into Cardiff centre. My daughter left her teddy behind and the staff were so helpful, they packaged him up ready for a courier to collect and let me know when he was collected.

It was lovely and out of the way. Very nice room and Ensuite. Only down points were very hard bed and pillows and the shower mechanism was slightly broken so difficulty in regulating temperature, but water pressure was great. Overall, we would be happy to return.

A very well refurbished cottage that was quiet and fine for a one night stay. The total lack of amenities at the location (unless you had a wedding) were disappointing. Despite the website advertising breakfast there was no catering/food available for guests. The receptionist was not able to recommend lunch options/restaurants. The customer service was very poor - polite but handed us a key and that was it on arrival. The lock was tricky and no one explained the knack to open the door. On departure the Manor was locked and there was no key drop box - we managed to find a Gardner to hand the key to. Very impersonal overall. The cottage is very small.

The photos online don’t do this beautiful manor justice, in person it was stunning, fresh and very very clean, the rooms came with everything you could need, nicely decorated with plenty of amenities 10/10 will be coming back ☺️

Great wedding venue no doubt, except we were there for a graduation. Glad to find somewhere even though a little far out. Communication great, easy to find, clean, looks interesting around there. Next time will stay longer..

Our brief stay at this property was first class. We especially enjoyed our breakfast.

Lovely quiet place but possibly understaffed. Rooms lovely and comfortable but bar wasn’t open in the evening. I would go there again - it was easy to drive into Cardiff.
