Really clean room and spotlessly clean. Older character - lovely breakfast with waitress service and spotlessly clean. Parking as well. A pleasure to stay and walkable easily into Whitby centre and the harbour

Great find spotlessly clean good location. About 15 min walk to centre and £5, taxi back. Breakfast was lovely and all waitress service. Very polite staff. We were on the top floor, room was fine. Nice touches were robes and slippers and a rarity, a decent shaving/make up mirror so easy to apply make up. So clean too. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed here twice now & doesn’t disappoint. Room lovely & clean with nice touches such as bath robes and lots of various toiletries. Full tea & coffee making facilities with nice biscuits Breakfast can’t be beaten and all staff welcoming and pleasant.

Lovely staff, lovely room and very good breakfast. Right beside Whitby Town FC, a short walk along the waterfront to the Whalebone Arch or in the other direction to Pannett Park and the museum

The room was nicely appointed and spotless. Good sized bathroom. Breakfast was very good on day two with items overcooked on day one. The parking is across the road which wasn't a problem but it would make it easier for guests if it were made known before they arrive. The wi-fi is slow on the second floor.

A very clean and comfortable hotel, very warm and friendly welcome at reception, walking distance to the heart of Whitby being only a couple of streets back from whalebones on west cliff. Rooms have all you need and are spotless with comfortable beds and wi-fi. Free off street dedicated car park for hotel. Option for dinner at hotel, bar for drinks with lounge. I noticed the hotel had received a tourism award for its breakfast to start your day well. It was also one of the few places not requiring a 2 night minimum stay which is what we needed as only in town for one night. Quiet location for good rest but close to all Whitby has to offer, I would recommend and would stay here again without question.

Excellent family run ‘traditional’ hotel situated in West Cliff area of Whitby; approx 15 minute walk to harbour area; rooms clean and roomy with lots of ‘accessories’; bed comfortable; good cooked breakfast with other options; attentive but not intrusive staff; dedicated parking area across the road - ‘first come first served’ but plenty of spaces; evening dinner available - good food and multiple options; overall excellent choice for a short stay

Lovely, great, very clean!! Bit of an issue with nosey fighting seagulls at 5am!! but that’s not the hotels fault… scrapping over scraps on the roof all fun of the sea side..

Saxonville is a very nice, traditional hotel with services to match. Staff were very polite and helpful, amenities were very good and breakfast as a person with coeliac was great. Would certain consider this hotel when we next visit Whitby.
