Stayed as a solo traveller for one night for a quick visit to Whitby. Staff were very friendly on the phone when I called to firm up arrangements, and same when greeting me when I arrived. Good amount of private parking available. I arrived at 11:30am before chicken in (3pm) but no issues using the car park while I explored the town. When I did check in, I found the room clean and comfortable. The decor may be a little dated but it was perfect for my needs. Bathroom looked fairly new and shower worked well. Heated towel rail and good collection of towels for my stay. Bed was super comfy and had a great nights sleep, also in a nice quiet part of Whitby! I didn't try dinner or breakfast as I had other plans so can't comment on these, but from my experience I would come and stay here again.

I’ve stayed in hotels all over the world without ever making comment but this time I will. It is quintessentially Yorkshire charming. The location is also great for walking into town. Parking is easy and the staff are so very helpful.

Hotel perfectly situated with access to Whitby. Private parking was available. There s no lift in the hotel - which might pose a problem for some! Breakfast was excellent and staff very friendly.

Historic property so quite old fashioned. Room was a great size & very clean. Had good amenities albeit water pressure in shower was non existent & WiFi was poor. Good quality breakfast but full table service for cereals & juices was a bit weird. Great location for walking into Whitby and good parking.

Everything good, very nice hotel with welcoming and helpful staff. Good location too, only about 10-15 minutes walk from Whitby museum and art gallery and from Whitby town itself. No complaints, I was quite happy with my hotel room and breakfast was very good too.

Old fashioned courtesy and service. Proper tablecloths and cutlery and an excellent varied menu.

I had a lovely stay in this hotel. The property was a little dated but clean and well-maintained. It wasn’t right in the middle of town, but a comfortable walk away. Breakfast was lovely. It was table service, and the ladies who served breakfast were absolutely the best. The wi-fi was quite patchy.

Room was spotless, towels were fresh. Breakfast was excellent, as were the staff on duty. Location is great with parking a bonus. Would highly recommend, and would definitely book here again.

Warm welcome on arrival, cleanliness excellent and the breakfast was to die for. Silver service breakfast at its best with really attentive and friendly waiting staff. Food was delicious with a continuous supply of tea coffee and toast if required. We had a really enjoyable stay and the breakfast set us up for the day! Private parking was a real bonus too with an easy walk into Whitby. All in all a Hotel to be recommended. Thank you Saxonville.

Had a great stay at the saxonville Hotel staff where really nice and nothing was too much trouble Breakfast was freshly cooked each morning and was perfect great choice all waitress service presented really nice Rooms was really clean nice fresh bed linen comfortable bed we had a room on the front of the hotel which was great big windows high ceiling lovely great hotel perfect location 10 minuate walk in whitby

Excellent hotel, very clean and tastefully decorated both in room and around the communal areas. Staff courteous and helpful. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, quick service and tasty food.

Breakfast selection good waitress service. There is also an option for an evening meal which was very good and cost was reasonable.

Breakfast was excellent with multiple choices, hotel was well decorated and beautifully decorated throughout would 100% recommend this hotel .

A lovely stay at the Saxonville. Staff couldn’t have done more. Every area was spotless and everything you need in the rooms. Exceptional breakfast. Will definitely return.
