Great hotel. Centrally located. Kind, efficient staff. Very nice bar. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend it to others.

Nice hotel, fairly central, good breakfast buffet, clean and attentive staff. The only challenge is parking but that is the whole city and not the fault of the hotel. There is a nearby parking structure but pricey. If you look around on Google maps you will find other a little further and outside the "center" that are less expensive.

The staff were welcoming and friendly. We ate supper there the first night, but were unimpressed with the burgers and nachos. The TV in our room was damaged but if didn't stop us from the late night Tipping Point binge... The air conditioning seemed to be struggling and never got cooler than 20 degrees. That said, we were happy with our stay and would return.

Lots of selections. Unfortunately the hot options ie beans, mushrooms, were cold as the hot plates not switched on. Disappointing. The orange juice was very weak. The coffee from.the machines had a very sticky froth on top. The toast was good but there were no jam dishes to put the jam in! All in all not good. Maybe it was a one off experience but it will be hard to forget. We paid £15 each. It was refunded.

The hotel has a fun, modern vibe. The staff were friendly throughout our stay, and we really enjoyed the little extras that made the place feel unique. The arcade machine was a fun idea, although it was only partially working during our visit. The biggest issue was that the air conditioning in our room wasn’t working. The room became very hot, and while the staff brought us a small fan, it didn’t do much to make the room comfortable. The staff did try to make things right by offering us complimentary drinks, which was a nice gesture. Unfortunately, we don’t drink, so it wasn’t really a solution for us. I asked if we could either switch rooms or receive breakfast instead, but both requests were denied. Overall, it’s a fun hotel with friendly staff, but the broken air conditioning and lack of a meaningful resolution left us disappointed.

We were able to get into our room early which was a bonus. Room itself was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was nice and shower was great. We opted for the included breakfast option which was really good. Hot and cold items and lots of selection. The location of the hotel was perfect for us. We were able to walk to almost every place we wanted. It is also on the City Sightseeing red bus route (between stops 5 and 6) which we took advantage of. Also it was only a 15(ish) minute walk to the train station. Would recommend and definitely stay again.

Basic hotel, no phone or fridge in room. Room very small. Location brilliant. Wouldn't stay again, not my standard.

Nice clean modern hotel in a perfect location for what I needed and the bed was very comfortable. The only downside is that I didn’t find the staff very welcoming or helpful. The barman in the evening didn’t seem to know what he was doing I think he was new but he came across as rude and made you feel like you were a big inconvenience to him when asking for a drink.

It was a very lovely stay, we loved it, hotel had an amazing vibe and good selection of food and drinks, the food was overpriced for what it was but it was still very nice. The drinks were very overpriced but its york so you have to expect that, its in a really good location close to the centre, the air-conditioning was either broken or not working correctly in our room but other than that it was an amazing time and would definitely go again.

Clean and conveniently located within a 5-10 minute walking distance to the Shambles and York Minster. They offered fresh lemon and mint water upon entrance at the bar and the staff were all wonderful! And, it was nice to have the a/c even though the outside temperature wasn’t even much hotter than 75, even in mid-July. The beds, bedding and towels were as usual, wonderful.

Lovely hotel , friendly staff and the welcome drink was much appreciated.

The main problem was that as a short women I found it difficult to use the shower it was too high to even adjust.

Room was bright with a warm summer breeze come through the sigthly open window. We had a love view on the Minster. The room was spacious with a queen size bed. The mattress was soft which aided a good night sleep. The pillows were like clouds fluffy and soft. Clean linen was noted too. The staff were all lovely, everyone that you met would good out their way to support you. We didn’t have breakfast so unable to comment. The bar was open till one in the morning prices was good as well.

Friendly and inviting welcome. The hotel was modern and quirky at the same time. The room was basic but had what you needed to be comfortable. It was a great breakfast with the best scrambled eggs ever! Only down side was that on arrival to breakfast I asked if there was a vegetarian option. I was told everything was laid out and labelled. It wasn’t until I had finished that I noticed a sign saying to speak to a member of staff to order veggie sausage. The guy who was ticking off names on entry to breakfast should have made me aware when I asked him about veggie breakfast. Would I stay here again? Most definitely and I would also look forward to breakfast😊 The rest of our stay, the staff were friendly and helpful.
