Rooms are extremely small and very very hot The shower is made just for skinny people ,the shower door is opening just a bit because of the sink.I'm pregnant in 32 weeks so I struggle to go inside of the shower. The bed frame was dirty and someone trying to paint it with different colour but just a bit. The stairs was extremely dirty and one of the wall was damaged and you can see the toilet from one the bedroom plus no one even bothered to hover the mess around in there. For 170£ a night just the room I expected a least to have AC or to be able to open full windows.

Lovely hotel and room the only thing missing was a fan to cope with the heatwave luckily we brought our own. Great location perfect for a couple of nights away!

You can kinda tell it used to a hostel and all they basically did was shut the bar and swap the bunkbeds out for cheap doubles to try and remarket themselves as a hotel. Cleaners were brilliant and friendly but it all needs a facelift.

Everything is nearby. Quiet place to stay. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Nice seaside and less than 5 minutes walk. Typical coastal town and many places to visit around.

I stayed in the family room . All things were good. Only problem I had was with bathroom door as it was very difficult to open the door and with the basin. Water was draining very slowly.

Stayed for one night. The room was clean, and the pillows were comfortable. Upon arrival, we noticed an issue with the toilet, but it was quickly fixed by the staff. Quick check-in, and the location is great — everything you need is nearby. Overall, a positive experience.

Stayed here at the reef lodge for a weekend break in Newquay. Greeted at reception, to book in and show us our room. Very friendly and chatty, made us feel welcome. Even though due to illness the reception was unattended with the times stated, but there was an apology notice which had a contact number on which we could ring or message if we had a problem or issue. We did use this number once to message a query and had a quick response. Room was clean & tidy with a comfy bed. Only fault I could make with the room is it could have done with a mirror in the room, for hair drying, hair straightening etc… had to stand from a distance and look through into the bathroom to use that mirror which wasn’t really close enough, but we did manage. Overall great stay and great location.

Recently, my wife and I stayed at this hotel. It is just a few steps away from the beach, which is perfect for those who love the sea. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Although there was sometimes noise from neighboring rooms, it didn't ruin the overall impression. The staff was very friendly. Housekeeping was done regularly, which added to our comfort.
