The room was clean, and the reception area was pleasant. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I didn't have breakfast. The room was freezing cold and it seems there was no way of warming it up other than ask for a portable heater from reception. It was very difficult to not be too cold or overheated with the heater and although it didn't spoil my stay there, I would hesitate to stay again because of this. I paid extra for a room with a view and that was lovely and i enjoyed seeing the light change from this vantage point.

A lovely hotel located in the heart of Edinburgh! Close to the train, walkable to the hop-on-off tour busses, restaurants, grocery store and shopping. It could be a little noisy outside with emergency vehicle traffic at times but that is not the fault of the hotel at all! The staff were spectacular and very efficient. The only thing I thought was odd was that I had to dry my hair in the bedroom vs. the bathroom. Overall, highly recommend & would stay again!

Great little hotel for the price. Location couldn't be better. The room was a bit warm at night even with the window open but other than that it was very comfortable.

Excellent hotel Very central

The room was what we needed and a great location. It was clean and quiet. Staff at the reception desk were all helpful. We were able to check our bags after check out to take one of our classes we had booked. There was no breakfast/snacks included but there was a restaurant on location (which we did not try).

Fantastic location for us- right off Waverley train station; yet was quiet at night. So much within walking distance. They take your luggage prior/after check out. Friendly staff and delicious toasties/VERY well made drinks at their bar. (Espresso martini & Moscow mule) - Very clean room and comfortable linens. Love the later checkout time. Would recommend Pep & Fodder blocks away for breakfast.

Clean room and quality service. We didn't do breakfast here as our touring started very early each day.

Ideal location, but we stayed on a mild day when hotel heating was still set for winter, with no way of altering the air conditioning in the room. It was way too hot. Staff supplied a fan which helped a little.
