Just wrapped up a wonderful stay at the Renaissance Ocean Suites. The property was immaculately kept and the free access to Renaissance Island with the flamingos and iguanas was wonderful. The food on the beach was fantastic. Not inexpensive but worth the price, would definitely stay here again.

To be completely transparent with our stay here. The gratuity is included at 17% some of the staff push you to leave more of a tip. It’s on the bill of 17% but barely visible. Like all bills even back home you’ll have a 10%,15, and 20% etc. we were tipping 37% until I figured it out two days into the trip. The room is an ocean view but it’s a busy road on top of an outdoor deck with blaring music, loud people and traffic noise. Our door was broken so the ac didn’t stay inside the room at all. We had to listen to that nonsense every night and my gf is a light sleeper. The money we spent here we won’t be returning. The all inclusive is a rip off tbh. It’s sub par food at best. If you do stay here do the breakfast buffet and pay your drinks and meals above that. I won’t be coming back here. When we return in last fall we will stay in a Airbnb or one of the boutique hotels on eagle beach.

We stayed at Renaissance Wind Creek primarily for access to Renaissance Island and Flamingo Beach, but unfortunately, the hotel was not worth the cost. Looking back, I would have rather booked an excursion to the island than stayed at this property. We reserved a garden-view room but were given a room overlooking the parking lot—there was no garden view! When I asked the front desk about changing rooms, I was told I would need to pay an upgrade fee. Considering the resort fee was already $77/day, I wasn't willing to spend a penny more. The resort fee itself was not justified by the amenities offered. They also gave us a room on the family side instead of the adult side. We were not aware there was an option for that. The first room we were assigned smelled terrible. The carpet was soaking wet, leaving the room with an unpleasant odor. To the hotel's credit, they moved us to another room and sent a fruit plate as an apology, but the fruit was stale and only added to the disappointment. I emailed the manager, Lisa, regarding my concerns and never received a response. The staff overall was friendly and accommodating. Claudine, who worked in the pool area, was especially kind and provided great service. The gym was the best amenity. We ate at Grand Frish restaurant because hotel food was terrible! Flamingo Beach is beautiful and Aruba itself is amazing and would absolutely visit again. However, I would not stay at Renaissance Wind Creek again and would not recommend it to others!

We had an amazing stay at the resort. We were especially impressed by the Private Island — the flamingos and the beach were all outstanding. The boat ride to the island was a lot of fun as well. The hotel’s location is excellent, being close to downtown, the port, and many great restaurants. Overall, we were absolutely delighted with our stay. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

We recently stayed on the adultsonly side of the Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba for 3 nights. The hotel itself was very clean, the room was spacious, and overall the property was beautiful. We spent a lot of time and money enjoying the bars, boutiques, and restaurants throughout the resort during our stay. Unfortunately, our experience at the end of the trip left a bad impression. About 2 hours before checkout, we found out our flight was delayed by more than 5 hours. We politely requested a later checkout while we tried to figure out whether we could still make the later flight or postpone until the next day, which is what we ultimately ended up doing. Instead of any flexibility or effort to accommodate us, we were basically told “no, we have a booking for that room today.” I understand hotels have policies and incoming guests, but after spending several days and a significant amount of money at the resort, I expected at least some level of customer service or alternative assistance without having to ask what could be done to help us. The resort itself is nice, but the lack of empathy and accommodation during a stressful travel situation definitely changed how we felt about the experience overall.

It’s a beautiful island with extremely nice and intelligent people. The people are some of the friendliest I’ve met on this planet. As for this resort, it’s unbelievably expensive! Shockingly so. I bought the extra all inclusive package when I got there which wound up costing about as much as it would have been if I had just paid along the way. It just makes everything easier. But and this is a big but… what winds up happening is the waiters and the bartenders will see that you have the all inclusive bracelet and push you to order more drinks. They’re constantly like try this. Try that. Here’s two more bottles of water. At first I thought they were just all being very nice until I realized that what they were all doing was growing the bill for a bigger tip. They don’t care how much food you can’t finish so they want you to order and try everything on the menu. They’d bring bottle after bottle of water I didn’t order. Then those bottles would add $40 to the bill putting another $8 in their pocket through the tip. Clever of them really. But just be aware. One other thing worth mentioning is that Aruba is unbelievably windy. Not like a little breeze. Like gusts of wind that will blow your hat off your head, your sunglasses off your face, and you’ll absolutely spend time chasing your towels and clothing around the pool or beach. The wind is relentless. It doesn’t stop. If you’re a person who likes their hair styled a certain way then Aruba is most definitely not the place for you
