Rooms were short on towels . Pool towels were very hard to get . Bar ran out of coconut rum 4 nights . Staff is friendly and try to help you . Breakfast was good but ran out of bacon many mornings . The fresh omeletes were fantastic as well as the chef .

They gave me the wrong room and had me wait until the next day for the room I actually paid for. A lot of back and forth to fix my issues. Not a very relaxing stay

There were constant ants in our room and the power was frequently going out. The beds were comfortable. The alcohol was definitely boot leg and watered down. I wish I had a chemical test with me to prove that. The staff were the best and very attentive. There are no complaints there at all. The food was ok. The fruit was very good and fresh. I recommend staying away from the sushi bar!! We were very ill with food poisoning and had to cancel our excursions and visit the urgent care due to bad sushi. It is a week later and my stomach is still not functioning properly. We will not be going back again. This review was tough to write about because of the employee and them being so great but there is much room for improvement here.

Everything was excellent

Overall, great trip but felt additional instructions would be helpful. I ran out of toilet paper, and needed more towels but no number to dial for service,and had to go out to find someone. The blue towels in the room, I didn't realize those were the pool/beach towels since we only had 2 white towels. I also didn’t know it’s a carnival cruise drop off and they get some amenities as well, like at the beach. The biggest one was the elevator, my room was on the 3rd floor and I had my 80 yrs old mom with me, Lucky she was able to go up and down the stairs but when I asked for a room change, no luck and basically I need to be sure to add notes like that in any future bookings.

The bar was not stocked on any good selections. Breakfast was fair. The room was kept clean. Phone in room did not work the entire 6 nights,mini fridge worked very little half the time,no hot water at all and sometimes no water when it was turned on the hot side,elevator worked only a few days. Our room was in building 2,others said they had the same problems in their rooms of building 2

The property is 6/10. Staff was nice property was clean. Room needs an update. We had a swim up but more should be accommodated in the room. Food was the same as everyday nothing special no vegetarian options. More beach towels were needed.

From the moment we got to the resort, the staff was very attentive and always willing to help. The resort also was great great amenities we had a swim up which was great. The cleaners are awesome. Everything about this is resort great. They even have a nursing staff at the resort who are also amazing!

The staff was not trustworthy at the receptions and guest relations area. I was told to upgrade to have a king size bed , even thought I paid for a junior suite . None was available on the main floor as my partner is in a wheel chair . I did the the upgrade , still didn’t get the king size bed as the elevator wasn’t working to get to the floor. Then was told it was for the bathroom space, that still didn’t acc

The staff there was great! They were very friendly, always checking in and greeting with a smile. I did wish the restaurants were more diverse, having more cultural foods to eat instead of things you eat back home… the facility did lose power a few times, also did not have the hottest water so prepare for that. One thing I can say is, if you are looking for a diverse stay, pick somewhere else because besides the workers there was not much diversity. I did enjoy my time there besides that!

This was my 4th time there. Nuff said.

For the area, I would give this place an eight out of 10. Typical Dominican resort with good amenities. Nightly entertainment was fun.

Staff and food great

The rooms were out dated the plumbing didn’t work properly, air conditioning did not adjust to a cooler temp. There was no phone to contact front desk, outlets did not work properly

I was shocked by all of the lower reviews. Everything was amazing. The staff and entertainment was so much fun. The food was pretty good there was so many option so there was always something to like. We went to the steak house AMAZING!!! would definitely recommend to anyone!

This was our first all inclusive experience. Though not really our thing, it was good. Food was quite good. Staff were very good. Maria (housekeeping for suite 236) was amazing!! The place was very well maintained. The beach is not amenable for swimming. As to be expected, it was also windy - very windy! That was disappointing as it drove is to the pool area more than normal. Not sure if this is always the case or if it was because it was spring break, but the pool had tunes pumping pretty loud almost the whole time. You also need to claim your spot early. There is a hard push for vacation property sales pitch (basically timeshare). When booking through Hotels, it does not include airport shuttle (taxi ranged from $40 to $60 USD). Also, do not expect the property to respond to messages through the Hotels app. You need to email them.

Great for an older crowd who arent discerning for drink selection or picky about coffee. Not for 25 and under. In order to get decent wine you had to pay which was annoying.

We stayed at Senator Puerto Plata, and overall, the resort itself is beautiful. The property is well-maintained, and the setting is truly gorgeous. The staff was also fairly helpful, especially considering we visited during New Year’s when they were extremely busy. However, our main issue—and a significant one—was the food and drinks. Given the price we paid, the quality was very disappointing. While there is a large selection of food and everything is nicely presented, the actual taste does not match the appearance. The reservation-only restaurants were average at best. The wine served was very low quality. The worst experience was at the sushi restaurant—we had a 7:00 PM reservation but waited about an hour just to be seated due to poor organization. After another long wait for the food, what we received was extremely disappointing. We took a bite, got up, and left to eat at the buffet. I would strongly recommend avoiding the sushi there. The drinks were equally underwhelming. There are no fresh juices available anywhere on the resort, which was surprising for a beachfront location. The alcoholic drinks were very weak and tasted heavily diluted. They were made from concentrated juice and then further watered down, resulting in something closer to flavored water than a proper cocktail. We tried multiple bars across the resort, and the quality was consistently the same. When I asked a bartender about fresh juice, he laughed. At one point, I ended up squeezing fruit
