The hotel has an amazing grounds between the two Pitons - probably the best view you will get on the island. The restaurants on the grounds offer good variety of different menus. But this is where the experience ends and disaster begins. The price of the stay cannot justify for the lack of service and some of the outdated amenities. We have tried to book some the activities they offer over a concierge template online well in advance as recommended but did not get a response until we actually called to the resort. Once we checked in, we figured out activities were in fact not booked or confirmed for the dates and times discussed and were facing cancellation fees for appointments we were not even aware of. Moreover, we have stayed at the Sugar Mills that are in definite need of renovation - old bathrooms, rusty furniture, broken doors/windows that cannot completely close, non-working plunge pool, etc. We have been also encouraged to use the hotel’s app to communicate any needs, which did not work. For a luxury range hotel, we have been happier staying at the Hyatt chain hotel.

Came here for our honeymoon expecting the weather will be wet since it's september, but it was sunny through out our stay. The staff and the whole stay was incredible.

After comparing possible resorts, I am thrilled to have settled on Sugar Beach. It is truly a prize in the middle of an oasis. I opted to stay in a beachfront bungalow, which was worth every cent. I considered Ladera, but the three-wall concept was not for me. I did opt to have dinner at Ladera during sunset, and the views are amazing, but as soon as the sun went down, the crickets and the mosquitoes made me happy that I chose Sugar Beach. I want to thank Felicia and Michaela, who ensured we were happy and celebrated my birthday. Special thanks to Maurcia at Terrace Restaurant for making me feel like family. Thanks to the morning groundkeepers who always passed by while I was sitting in the outdoor lounge chair to check in on my husband and me Thanks to Blaze on the beach for caring for us and making St Lucia feel like home. I am forever grateful, and I will be back.

This place is paradise .

Sugar Beach/Viceroy is paradise on earth. A true secret to discover. We extended our stay and our experience was that each day got better and better.

Everything from check-in to check-out was 1000%! Staff is incredibly helpful, kind, & great at communicating in a timely manner. Had some flight issues & the resort was incredibly accommodating, going above & beyond on multiple levels. Food was delicious & there were a lot of tasty GF options, which is important to us. Our private cottage was pure perfection & we loved the privacy it provided. We were treated like royalty every moment at the resort & it was the best vacation we've ever been on. We won't stay anywhere else but Sugar Beach when we go to St. Lucia in the future!
