This is one of the best camps I've been into at Wadi Rum; The location is amazing inside the the protected area; While all camps are claiming the same but this is not the case; This camp is not surrounded or close the main road; it is inside the desert where you need to drive for 8Km to reach it; so it is calm and quite; the staff are greate and cooperative; the food and the service is very good. You won't beleive the desert can be beautiful till you see this .

The staff (Elliott and the chef who cooked our dinner and breakfast) were incredibly nice. The tents are a quite decent size. Camp is located in a very quiet location... you will have the most quiet night of your life!

This is a very difficult place to review. Wadi Rum is an amazing place, and there's little doubt that Desert Moon Camp is "authentic" in that it's run by Bedouin who are all super-friendly (like all Jordanians) and hospitable. But in being authentic it is also quite a challenge. The camp comprises about 30 permanent tents, which are furnished with beds. Sheets and blankets are provided, but don't expect them to have been washed recently. Dinner was tasty and fun, with traditional music one night. The nights can be pretty cold - we ended up wearing multiple layers of clothes in bed to stay warm. For long stays we'd recommend a decent sleeping bag.

Before arrival communication from Mdallah was great, and upon arrival his son Abdallah picked me up from the Rum Village. They are very welcoming and hospitable. The camp is nice and not too large, located well within Wadi Rum. At night there is a good dinner (extra fee) and a light breakfast is included in the stay. Regular toilet and shower facilities provided. The tent/small building is comfortable, although the beds and linens were somewhat uncomfortable. Overall though, it is a great experience and I would definitely stay there again next time I'm in Wadi Rum.
