The room was fantastic but the check in experience was very poor. We had a printout from an email which said to use the Gileston Manor Courtyard with cream gates as the entrance, upon arrival at 7:30PM (more than 3 hours before check in ended) the gates were locked and the number provided was going straight to voicemail. Texts and voicemail was left with no response. After waiting for 20 minutes with the car hazards on, on a main road, we decided to look around and parked in the Manor Estate and walked around to unlock the cream gates. The email printout said that the parking is directly to the left after the cream gates yet there was a sign there saying no parking! Eventually we found the correct car park after an hour total from arrival no help from the printout! If it wasn't for this it would be a 10/10 - after a very long drive we at least expected the print out to provide reliable information.

Amazing room and grounds cannot fault it. Stayed in The Stalls, beautiful furnishings, luxury bed and bedding. Lovely grounds and very welcoming staff

Stunning! A beautiful appartment/cottage, fantastic interior design and spotlessly clean. The grounds of the Manor House are lovely and the Garden Bar makes for a great excuse to take a walk! We will definitely return!

Fab accommodation- our aim is to stay in all the accommodation offered in this great place. Enjoyed an evening sunset on the nearby beach and were lucky to see the Manor and grounds set up for their Winter Wonderland.

Excellent accommodation, could easily live there (if we didn’t have children). Close to Cardiff but also to the coast and more rural areas, so if you don’t fancy the city then you can enjoy the quiet. We would definitely stay again and my parents are looking at it for a short break. Was a bit cold when we first arrived but that was easily resolved. Also the advert says bath/shower when in fact it was a wet room, but lovely nevertheless.

Great location , friendly staff and definitely worth a revisit in the near future

Very comfortable and well adjusted for key workers as social distancing can be maintained easily. No reception desk and keys can be collected from a safe location. With kitchen and lounge it felt like a home away from home. Very comfortable bed. Most importantly it was quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend.
