The hotel is very central, and faces onto a square with a garden. I travelled by public transport and the hotel is ideally situated for this. Also, close to shops and tourist attractions.

Lovely staff, beautiful room, awesome amenities! Wonderful part of town, parking is discounted in a very nice nearby lot, and there is tons to see, shop, eat. Very safe, vibrant area. We would love to stay again!

The location was excellent for exploring Edinburgh with a 5 year old. We loved being so close to St. James' Quarter too. Our room was lovely and very quiet with minimal traffic noise.

The room was lovely and clean. Beds were really comfortable with nice bedding. The staff sadly were under pressure in the bar and restaurant due to their new systems breaking down. They did however try to make it as best they could for us though.All the staff were lovely and helpful.

We loved our stay. The decor was amazing!

Room was full of defects & neglect. Room was not worth the money at all, could easily get the same quality at lesser hotels for a lesser price. Breakfast on Sunday 1/2/26 was awful, didn't get a hot breakfast because staff ignored us. But the staff member in question was happy and more occupied flirting with the female guests in the breakfast area. Waited 30 minutes to get an order but it was too late, we left. Bar staff service was far too slow but when it is a busy weekend 1 waiter and 1 bar member was shocking when the bar was full.

Beautiful room, lovely & clean. Bathroom had a great big walk in shower. Bathrobes and slippers a lovely touch. Staff were lovely specially young James on the bar down stairs. The cooked breakfast was lovely, big portions. Will definitely return.

Good hotel in a great location.

Room was lovely and large with good facilities. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was particularly good. Only criticism was lack of light in the room and in particular the bathroom
