Maintenance required for front steps. Broken and chipped slate tiles. Dangerous for travellers carrying suitcases. Room good size for solo traveller, Single bed very small, children's size. Poor and inadequate furnishings. Small and minimum. Communication could be better, as never advised that alcohol with supplied dinner was charged for. Very expensive, and poor value for mkney

Great breakfast!

Staff was kind. A bit of a walk from the center of the town. Also needs an elevator.

Our room was above the kitchen so the bathroom always smelled like food.

A delightful stay. The staff were kind and helpful. Dinner was included, which was a nice bonus after a day exploring the fjords. Would be challenging for folks with mobility issues--no elevator, and stairs to enter the building and to reach the second floor. Be sure to ask for a hair drier the night before if you are up before the desk opens at 7:30 pm. A lovely place experience in a breathtaking location 10 minutes from the Flam ferries and railroad.

The Heimly was great. It was located close to everything. The staff was great, breakfast & dinner were delicious. Most importantly, the view was amazing.

Breakfast and dinner were included. Both were delicious and well planned and plentiful. The room view was absolutely breathtaking. This is very close to to the “main” center but offset by the marina with a direct look at the fjord. Much better option than the other big properties we searched.

Included meals were excellent, and view was unbelievable. Nice to be a short walk away from the main harbor area

The Heimly staff was friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Our room had gorgeous views of the fjords. Breakfast was excellent, and the three-course vegetarian dinner that the chef prepared for us was the best meal we had on our trip to the Scandinavian countries.

Beautiful bed & breakfast. Very homely. Staff was very kind and generous. They let us store our bags after check out & we spent some time at the place while waiting for our train. Had access to WC, tea/ coffee. The place was very clean. Breakfast & dinner are included. The dinner was delicious. They even accommodated our request for a vegetarian dinner- beetroot soup, mushroom risotto & dessert! Only note - It’s a good 10 - 12 min walk from the ferry/ train station. You have to carry your suitcases over steps (the staff kindly helped with that). And the room/ bathroom is very tiny - barely room to open the bags.

stunning fjord views! Both dinner and breakfast are included. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Rooms might be considered small and basic, but you're really here for the location and the view. Be sure to book a room with a view. It's amazing!

Place location is good . The room was too small and basic amenities were not up to the mark . I feel it wasn’t value for money. Though dinner and breakfast were amazing experience.

The dinner was disappointing. No vegan option and too much potato based food. My meat was overcooked and dry.

Hotel is just ok

Fantastic property, very close to Flam with a great view of the sea. The dinner and breakfast was delicious, when we return to Flam, we will definitely be staying here

Nice guest house with dinner and breakfast included. We overlooked the fjord which was lovely. However the room was very small with minimum amenities provided. The shower was tiny. I am 5’2” and 110lb and was cramped. It was expensive but so is everything in Norway. Served the purpose for our one night stay.

Nice and easy walk from both the train station and ferry terminal. Location had fabulous views overlooking the fjord. Meals were very tasty. The staff were wonderful. Paper thin walls and very basic room, although would recommend the Panorama room for the view and with the location, you’re not in your room for very long. However, although nice, felt like it was very overpriced for nearly $900 per night.

Highly recommend the location which is a short walk from the busy center where all the tourists gather. Super friendly staff! Cute farm & restaurant property next to it. The dinner, which is included in the fee, was very good. The room was small but comfortable. Negative was that we heard a lot of the noise being just above the outside sitting area. We heard water running probably from showers next door.
