Lovely place to stay. Good prices and a perfect place to stay if you go for a hike on Kinder Scout. Afterward, you can enjoy a spa. The rooms are clean and fresh. If you are very fussy, you can find loads of negative things about everything. We spent a fab time there. Good location.

Stayed in the Hotel for one night recently, Room on lower ground floor, room was fine but very blah and average. Pillows were too soft. decor was very standard. No tv channels. Asked for an early check in which wasnt possible, asked if we could use pool before check in as we arrived early which also was not alloweed. You only get one towel and have to use that at the pool also - if you want a second towel you are charged, our towels were also stanied. Drinks are expensive 8 Euro for a pint of cider.Spa facilities are good. Overall just a very average stay.

When we travel as a family, we usually make a small request at reception when we check out. Our son collects room key cards from the hotels we stay in as a memory. When leaving the hotel, we kindly ask if it would be possible to keep one card, and we are happy to pay for it if needed. Over the years we have stayed in hundreds of hotels, and this is the first time a hotel has refused. This morning (15 March), when we were checking out, we politely asked the lady at reception, but she said no. It’s just a small card, and it’s really not worth disappointing an 11-year-old child over something like this. We would happily pay for it. Sometimes small details like this can take away from many of the bigger and nicer things about a stay.
