The property itself was well presented and clean, and the room was also clean on arrival. However, we had booked a "Luxury King Room" and felt the description was somewhat misleading. The bed was actually a double rather than a king-size bed (which I later noticed is stated in the room details), so the room name itself felt confusing. I’d also say the "luxury" description was an overstatement, as the room felt more basic/average than expected.
Unfortunately, we had quite a poor night's sleep. The room was very warm; although a fan was provided, it was quite noisy, and with the window open there was a lot of traffic noise. Even at 3:30am there were still cars coming and going outside. The curtains were also very thin and not blackout, so we were awake much earlier than hoped.
The biggest issue for us was the pipework noise – we could hear what sounded like a water tank refilling every 20–30 seconds throughout the night, which made it difficult to sleep.
On a positive note, the breakfast was good. We also noticed eye masks and ear plugs available in the breakfast room, although unfortunately we only discovered these the following morning.
Overall, I feel the room descriptions and photographs set expectations higher than the reality. Looking back, I would likely have chosen somewhere more central and, particularly in warmer weather, somewhere with air conditioning.
