Great friendly place to stay, 10 minute walk to town centre

All above ( ideas ) were fine. What would make a difference was in confirmation of booking to include how check actually works not just a smart lock but practical steps Email will come with a code which opens front door and room . How parking works ( are discs or labels needed ) If traveling it’s not always possible to be online permanently so if need to look for an email to add check in - just say at first communication Plus if confirmation re a twin vs double was required then tell us at booking confirmation . Staff tried to contact us but we booked a twin so wasnt expecting to have to confirm choice again . Jasper who was sent to sort room was superb and helped laundry delivery man who was close to a heat induced medical event

We stayed in room 7, adequate for what we needed for two nights but the en-suite was quite small.There are quite a lot of stairs up to the room, we also had a problem getting into the property as the electronic locks did not work as described.We received a message saying to use the last four digits of our phone number,this did not work!On the message the numbers were different to my number and this was where the confusion started. I had to call the agent for access and they said try the number on the message and this then let us in.On our second day arriving back to the accommodation another couple were having the same problem and so I let them into the property and also there room which was next to ours,then it dawned on me that they could get in our room and I could get in there’s!!The following day at breakfast I informed the manager and she said it was Expedias fault and she would contact them!!!!

The property itself was well presented and clean, and the room was also clean on arrival. However, we had booked a "Luxury King Room" and felt the description was somewhat misleading. The bed was actually a double rather than a king-size bed (which I later noticed is stated in the room details), so the room name itself felt confusing. I’d also say the "luxury" description was an overstatement, as the room felt more basic/average than expected. Unfortunately, we had quite a poor night's sleep. The room was very warm; although a fan was provided, it was quite noisy, and with the window open there was a lot of traffic noise. Even at 3:30am there were still cars coming and going outside. The curtains were also very thin and not blackout, so we were awake much earlier than hoped. The biggest issue for us was the pipework noise – we could hear what sounded like a water tank refilling every 20–30 seconds throughout the night, which made it difficult to sleep. On a positive note, the breakfast was good. We also noticed eye masks and ear plugs available in the breakfast room, although unfortunately we only discovered these the following morning. Overall, I feel the room descriptions and photographs set expectations higher than the reality. Looking back, I would likely have chosen somewhere more central and, particularly in warmer weather, somewhere with air conditioning.

Tidy, warm and great breakfast

Overpriced. Cramped. Not idea location. Didnt like that it was remote reception. Despite reserving 2 separate beds, upon arrival it was a King, and it took 3 hours to change. I suggested I book elsewhere but they were adamant I wait two hours whilst they correct the room.

Everything was great, we stayed in the apartments and it was fantastic

The place was perfect, had such a wonderful time and would most definitely stay here again.

The room and amenities were of the highest standard. Proper Yorkshire charm and clearly a place for which the owner and staff are rightly proud. The breakfast is individually prepared, the ingredients are top notch, it is expertly cooked and presented.

Every thing was good very comfortable bed only downside we stayed in room 4 which I think had heater boiler next door did keep one of us awake as kept switching off and on all the time also I was very impressed on the shower screen how does it look that good please let me know what you use,xx

Easy check in using your own unique number. Clean well equipped room. Lovely shower. Perfect location. Great breakfast. Will definitely use Fountains again.

Lovely accommodation with everything you need. Room was very nice with a boutique feel. Comfy bed, nice bathroom and shower and a great breakfast. Combined with easy parking and a short walk into the centre I would highly recommend and would have no hesitation using again in the future.

Location was good and I managed to get parked in the small car park. Breakfast was very nice. Shower was excellent. Bed was squeaky. Residents made a lot of noise returning at 1.00am and 3.00am. There was a constant noise throughout the night at least every couple of minutes. It sounded like a toilet flush but I assume it was the plumbing. Worst nights sleep in years!

Very clean, staff at breakfast and breakfast very good. Room looked pleasant but was quite noisy due to traffic outside and ? Noisy boiler in room next door which was on and off throughout the night. Not too far from town. Overall a very pleasant stay

Couldn’t have been more helpful. Room was comfortable, shower was very good, staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. Breakfasts were very tasty and perfectly cooked. Would be very happy to stay there again.

would be 5 stars for service but its unmanned on arrival. however lovely service at breakfast which full english was delicious. Room 5 on the top floor was perfect - so quiet and relaxing - nice view and the large walk in shower was excellent! bed was so comfy - best sleep for a long time. couldn't get parked as only 5 spaces in private car park but can park just metres away on public road. two minute walk to start of town centre.
