The hotel is well located, close to everything, the room is clean, breakfast is ok, but the staff is the most important thing here in this hotel, very friendly, they treat you like family, I will miss them.

Staff are wonderful. The hotel and cafe are charming and comfortable, though a tad spare, like a historic inn. Breakfast is a set menu served to you by the staff in the cafe: quite filling and delicious. Only drawback is street noise from about 6:30 to 23:30, as the location is close to the main tourist area. With that caveat, highly recommended.

The room was clean and well property is well located. The breakfast was excellent. Great coffee and prompt service even though they were busy. The walls are thin . We could hear everything from the room next door. They were quiet at night so it wasn’t a big problem for us but it could be an issue for some travellers. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

Loved this hotel - very simple and traditional in a good location. Only problem we arrived at night and parked in the street (luckily free) as could not find the car parking we had reserved. Receptionist did not understand our query about the parking.

Ich fühlte mich so herzlich willkommen und habe das köstliche Frühstück im Café des Hauses sehr genossen . Exzellent waren die vielen Tipps, natürlich die Lage gleich am Park und vor der Altstadt. Die Puente Nuevo war fussläufig in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen . Bahnhof & Busbahnhof in 5-10 min zu Fuß.

Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was served - you got what they gave you - but included 2 giant pieces of toasted bread, a fried egg, a little pancake with Nutella spread, coffee, & orange juice. Plenty to start your day!

The cafe bar was such a winner, not only for breakfast but also a coffee during the day and evening. Staff were so pleasant and helpful and the location perfect. Our room with balcony was cleaned and tidied every day. Cannot fault Hotel Colon and its staff. Thank you.

Location is wonderful Room is quiet and breakfast is perfect

The location is good, the room was very clean and the staff helpful and friendly. It's an older property that can offer parking for a fee at a nearby parkade about 1 block away. Breakfast was provided and included juice, coffee, toast, an egg and a Nutella covered pancake. Our room was small but clean. We requested a room with a double bed and ended up with 2 twins pushed together. Unfortunately one of the twin beds creaked every time I moved.

J’aurais pu mettre un 5 étoiles mais vu l’accueil plus que froid et discourtois de Carmen à notre arrivée, je mets un 4 étoiles. Pour le reste, tout était parfait. La chambre était très confortable et impeccable. Le petit déjeuner était très copieux. Et le service d’Anna nous a réconciliés avec le fait que nous avions été mal reçu à notre arrivée.

The staff were absolutely amazing, Friendly and informative and nothing was too much trouble. They made our anniversary extra special and even gave us a bottle of fizz to celebrate. Helped me learn more Spanish and made it feel like a home from home. Will definitely recommend the place to friends and family. Amazing.
