Very friendly staff, the ambiance feels very calm, the place is very clean.

Location & Views • Resort set right on the beach overlooking the Straits of Malacca with beautiful sea views from many rooms.  • Quiet, tropical setting — great for family getaways and beach breaks.  Facilities & Activities • Excellent facilities, especially pools (including kids’ waterpark) and playgrounds — a highlight for families.  • Tennis, basketball, golf nearby, and beach activity options.  Service & Staff • Many guests praise the friendly, helpful staff and welcoming service.  • Clean, comfortable rooms with balconies and modern amenities often mentioned.  Food • Breakfast generally seen as good with variety.  • Some guests enjoy the on-site dining and local dishes. 

Interesting place, all the staff are very helpful especially the manager on duty (Pn. Linda), kitchen manager (Pn. Maisarah). Best and my family will come again next time.

being told the pool has maintenance when check in really broke my heart as i came for daughter’s birthday celebration but the receptionist heal my heart with upgrading our room and extend our check out to 3pm <3

Had a really pleasant stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing staycation away from the city. The hotel is about 30 minutes from town, so dining options are either in-room service or GrabFood (with limited choices). Perfect for families with kids — there’s a mini water park, kids’ club, and the beach is just a short walk away. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn’t too crowded, which was nice. Loved the warm cookie welcome at check-in! Service was excellent, staff were friendly and attentive. Our room was clean, comfy, and practical. Breakfast was also a highlight with a wide spread and great taste. Overall, a wonderful stay and I’d definitely come back. Highly recommend for families or anyone wanting a peaceful getaway.

The staffs are very professional, friendly, and passionate in their duties. Especially Mr. Haykal. He is very helpful. He still can smile even when there are so many guests during this summer holiday, doing the job so efficiently and effectively. Thank you. Sure will come again.

The facilities are good. 2nd time of stay here. My child likes it.

*Review: DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut* Disappointing stay despite the premium price. The room was expensive but didn’t meet the standard expected from Hilton — definitely overrated. Concierge staff were unhelpful and showed little interest in assisting with luggage, possibly because we arrived in a normal car, not a luxury one — which left a poor impression. Facilities are good and the environment is pleasant. Breakfast was tasty but unfortunately overshadowed by the presence of flies at the dining area, which was off-putting. Also, Wi-Fi access is limited — only basic speed is free, and you’ll need to pay extra for better connectivity, which feels unreasonable for the price point. Overall, the setting is beautiful, but service, hospitality, and attention to detail fall short.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel very great but location quite far. Nearby beach and all facilities suitable for kids. Love the breakfast and view! Food from axis lounge quite disappointed. Cold and the environment not suitable for kids since at night quite dark. But overall, really enjoy my day here.

I love the amenities provided, including kids club, board games, mini waterpark, & the breakfast is delicious. Also has a SPA there for those who want to have a relaxing massage. But the place is not so stroller friendly. Quite a hassle for me to lift up my child's stroller and trolley we brought there. Probably can improve on this part only. The rest is good.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, be it for only a night. We took the trip to seek solace in order to soak in the ambiance, panoramic view, quiet, and serene atmosphere that this resort could offer. We were not disappointed. Dinner and breakfast served were stupendous. Though it rained through the night, we managed to spend the morning traversing the beach fronting the resort. We will make a date to return. A rating of 4 compliments our stay.

The app did not submit my request to the hotel for a connecting room, but due to that, the hotel upgraded my room to executive to make sure I got a connecting room, which only those rooms are available. The hospitality by the hotel was very good. It's just that the toilet door does not have any lock, which is not suitable for a family with small kids. Cleanliness can be upgraded, and the foods are just OK. Some of the foods were too dried (kuih Melayu), and we had nasi lemak masin on our 2nd day 😅 but the 3rd day was nice.

I am so happy to be here with my family on school holidays. The staff is very helpful and kind. I wanted to change rooms, and they helped me without any problems. Surely I will be here again, good memories. But, it's very far from the main road. Very hard to find food. Secondly, the monkey problem is quite dangerous. Third, the most uncomfortable part here is breakfast, quite boring and late to top up when it's peak hour. We have to wait so long, and my children start to make a drama because of that. 😝

Rooms are clean and comfy. But the TV malfunctioned in the evening, promptly replaced with a new one. The fridge body had current around it and I was electrocuted when I touched it. Made a complaint. Hopefully they fixed it. The security for the pool towel was beyond ridiculous. Had to sign various forms just for a towel. Pool was OK. I think they need a mini market for us to get simple provisions as the nearest shop is > 30 mins away via a nauseating path.
