Housekeeping staff were good. Room was spacious and comfortable . But very noisy Not recommended for holiday. Train, ambulance continuous noise. Food was pathetic. Breakfast was below average. Very unlike Taj. Staff not great at the restaurant. Being chennai.. expected better South Indian food. It was quite bad on all 4 days of our stay

Excellent location, clean and well-kept. Rooms are luxurious. Only downside price varies and at times is really high.

The Taj Wellington Mews in Chennai is an excellent hotel, very close to IIT, Madras and the Institute of Mathematical Sciences near Adyar area of Chennai. Even though it is a 5-star hotel, it is priced very reasonably. The service is top-notch. The food is excellent. My only complaint is that there is too much food. The rooms are excellent as well. Overall, a great experience.

One issue was when I called guest service and operator to inquire about something the call was not answered due to reduced staffing. They should make sure to answer ph calls from rooms always promptly.

Incredible property, incredible room, staff is attentive and very responsive. No issues or concerns at all. Only regret is not staying longer.
