Good sized room, nice hand wash and shower gel, clean and tidy

Very clean and modern hotel with spacious rooms. Convenient location, albeit close to the motorway. Difficult to fault and great value.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Despite being off the M62 the room was surprisingly quiet. It was a comfortable room.

The reception welcome was excellent, Eleanor was friendly and helpful. OUr room was perfect, great bathroom and good in room facilities. Wifi and television both great.

Clearly the hotel has replaced the bed mattresses since it was a Premier Inn. It has been many years since I experienced a mattress so uncomfortable. Consequently I had a terrible night's sleep. All other facilities were no different from its time as a Premier Inn.

The room was perfect, staff polite and informative and we settled for a comfortable nights sleep. It was then apparent that the room opposite us had other ideas. From 10pm through to 3.30am there was constant loud talking and door slamming with a total disregrd for anyone else. I attempted to use the phone on several occasions to contact reception to inform whoever of the disrespectful behaviour. The phone was annoyingly not working and i therefore presumed reception was not manned. I deliberated if i should go to the opposite room to ask them to please keep the noise down. My wife being fearful for my safety said not to. We eventually got a couple of hours sleep. On checking out at 9am (earlier than planned)...the lady on reception asked how our stay was. We informed her of the awful situation we had endured and was told the phones dont work but reception was manned 24hrs and we should have come down to complain. We appreciate had we done this things may have been addressed but with a simple phone call would should have been suffice. Its a shame that our stay was marred by this and unfortunately we will not stay in a Best Western again. Kind regards.

Room was fine, staff lovely, but whatever is used in the coffee machine to make cappuccinos either contains nut ingredients or is contaminated with them. I have an allergy and could tell straight away.

The beds were very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only problem we had was the smell of hash in the hallways at night was horrible. I thought you couldn’t smoke in a hotel these days.

The only issue I had was that on getting into the room there was no heating on even though it was only 3 degrees outside, on turning on the electric heater it took a couple of hours for it to get warm enough to sit in the room. We went next door to the pub at least it was warm, even though it was near impossible to get something to eat due to it being so busy, we got back into the room after 3 hours and it was quite comfortable but not HOT, when we spoke to the receptionist in the morning she was of the opinion that it would be an added expense to heat the room before arrival if nobody turned up.
