The location for this hotel is great if you want to be close the historic area for walking tours of Cusco. It was super convenient for our tours because the meeting point was often set at La Plaza de Armas. Room was always tidy and the shower was nice and warm - which was different from some of our other stays in Peru. All the staff were so incredibly nice. And one of the best things was that if you had activities planned early in the morning, they would pack us breakfast to take with us. I’ve never experienced that, and it was so generous!

Very central hotel just off Placa Mayor del Cusco. The hotel has a very cozy interior with balcony’s and old fashion design. Clean rooms, very friendly staff, silent rooms, good beds and decent breakfast. Highly recommended!

Very clean, very conveniently located, very nice staff, good breakfast. Handsome hotel space. It’s across from a bar where they party into the night and you can faintly hear the music. Earplugs are provided. I used a white noise app on my phone and it was fine.

Basic hotel right of the main square in Cusco. For the price, I was happy with the hotel. My only real complaint was the wi-fi wasn't great and kept going out for short durations and was slow when it was working. The staff were super friendly and helpful. There is a ton of of restaurants and shops in the area around the main square. It is super busy at all times in the area though so if you are looking for a low-key spot, you might consider another option, away from the main square. That being said, I had no issues with noise in my room, which was located in the back of the hotel.

Great location and the best staff. Rooms are very comfortable. It is on a very noisy street, which was difficult when trying to get a good night’s rest.

La Casona Real had such a cozy, homey vibe that made us feel comfortable right away. Its location was perfect—just a short walk to the Plaza de Armas and surrounded by plenty of shops and restaurants, making it super convenient to explore the area. The staff were amazing—warm, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything we needed. Their attentiveness truly made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, La Casona Real is a charming place to stay if you want both comfort and easy access to the heart of the city. Highly recommended!

Staffs are very nice, facility is clean, court yard has sofas and hot water with tea available all the time, if you leave early in the morning, staff prepares brown bag breakfast for you to take, the breakfast is simple but nice, you can have omelet, bread, and yogurt.

Tive uma ótima experiência no hotel La Casona Real! O quarto em que fiquei era muito bacana, com um espaço confortável e bem organizado. A higiene do ambiente e o serviço de limpeza também merecem destaque — tudo sempre muito limpo e bem cuidado. O café da manhã é honesto, com opções suficientes para começar bem o dia. Um ponto super positivo foi o atendimento da equipe: desde o check-in até o suporte para agendar passeios e a gentileza de preparar o box do café da manhã para os dias em que saímos de madrugada. Todo o time é muito atencioso e prestativo! Outro ponto forte é a localização, que é excelente para quem quer explorar Cusco. Como observação, por estar localizado em uma rua movimentada, o barulho vindo de bares e boates à noite pode incomodar um pouco. Além disso, os pisos de madeira dos quartos fazem com que o barulho de hóspedes vizinhos seja perceptível, o que pode afetar um pouco o descanso. Apesar desses pontos, minha recomendação do hotel é muito boa, e certamente, quando voltar a Cusco, pretendo me hospedar novamente no La Casona Real!

This is an historic property with a very interesting history. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. Cristobal was particularly helpful. The location is very convenient to the main plaza and also several good eateries just outside the door. We had a room on the first floor and there aren't windows. However, this makes the room very soundproof and there is a lovely courtyard right outside the door where we hung out when we weren't sleeping. We found this setup cozy and convenient. They cleaned the room every day and the hot water and water pressure was good. There is coca and other tea available at all times. There is laundry service and luggage storage available. Highly recommend!

The floors were a bit noisy. The bathrooms could use some more ventilation, but what can you expect from a property like this? Staff was helpful and kind.

The location was excellent - very close to Plaza de Armes. Front staff were great. They packaged a breakfast for us and added water for our early morning Rainbow Mountain excursion. Cars could not go down the road by the hotel so we would meet guides at the square. Loved the courtyard for tea and relaxation. The room was comfortable but a little quirky with just a bathroom downstairs and up some creaky wooden stairs to the sleeping quarters, but it all worked. Nice buffet breakfast each morning. Quiet for sleeping even though there was a very busy bar across the cobblestone street.
