Check in gave us a room which was inconvenient (3 flights of stairs), and Very Small. Another desk clerk later corrected that and gave us a more suitalbe room. Staff was great, facilities are old, with the exception of the bathrooms.

I was in Helensburgh to attend my cousin's funeral. The hotel could not have been better. I only ate breakfast twice and it was delicious. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel is centrally located and it was easy to get to anywhere I needed to be. All in all, a very good experience and I will recommend the hotel to my friends who might be visiting Scotland.

This hotel is well situated on the main road going through Helensburgh. There are a number of pubs and restaurants within walking distance, and the hotel also has a restaurant. Parking is free, in the large leisure centre car park across the road. The only negative for me was the hotel does not offer a cooked breakfast, which is surprising as it has a restaurant built into it. The continental breakfast appeared to be your average hotel continental breakfast. Staff were friendly.

The room was nice .wasnt happy about the see through bathroom door. There wasn’t any privacy. The down stairs bar area where we ate our food was needing a freshen up.The food was not great and the breakfast was pretty poor. For the price we paid for the accommodation I think it was over priced.

Nice hotel in a convenient location to visit Helensburgh. Tasty continental breakfast served though there was only white bread. Lots of creaking flooring meant regularly woken up. Had a coffee machine but no instructions. I had to clamber under a table to plug it in. The mattress was very soft, too soft for me but that's personal choice. The reception was rarely manned.

Nice hotel, well decorated only negative is when we checked in we were told Sunday breakfast is between 8-10. We went to breakfast at 9:30 where there was not much left and advised breakfast finishes at 9:30. Although we got fresh tea and a couple of fresh pastries. We did feel a little bit of an annoyance at the start. However worth the stay.

The hotel is minutes walking distance from the train station and the view down is idyllic itself looking towards the water. The check in was easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful asked us if we would like to book our meal in the restaurant and although we were also told when breakfast was, I liked that everything you’d need to know was also on the key ring to your room. The room was spacious, the view was amazing from either windows and the shower was exceptional. The bed was so comfy and the coffee machine is a nice touch. I also love that the shampoo, conditioner and soaps are all scottish made and all natural. The extras of the dental kit (toothbrush and toothpaste) and shaving kit(shaving gel and razor) was a nice suprise. The breakfast was excellent, there was a lot of great choices available and the fruit tasted fresh. The bar area is also a nice place to have drinks or something to eat as it’s relaxing and full of character and charm.

Fantastic boutique hotel. Located on the the front in Helensburgh. Nice bar and restaurant, very nice room and ensuite. Staff were very helpful and the one evening meal we had was really good. The staff were very accommodating with out son from the base coming down to share breakfast with us. We will definitely be staying again.

Lovely hotel; the decor was fabulous. Comfortable room with water, chocolates and coffee, tea and biscuits. Good shower but not so keen on a glass door to the en-suite! Staff very friendly and helpful.

Very average hotel. We paid £100 for our room which was nice but a little tired. Probably worth no more than £70. The bathroom is a bit weird as it’s a glass partition. The shower area had a musty smell with black mold all around the silicone areas. The food bill for 2 mains and 2 desserts and 2 drinks came to £76 pounds . Pizza was lovely but sadly the bolognaise was poor. The mince was all clumped together in large lumps and it really lacked in any flavour. My tiramisu looked amazing but unfortunately lacking in flavour with the texture of an old piece of gum that had been chewed for too long. Went down for breakfast in the morning to be told no cooked breakfast but they might do it in the future. The continental breakfast consisted of a couple of different cereal, toast, tinned fruit cocktail, jam and tea and coffee. No cheese, ham or Croissants that normally come with continental breakfast. It’s a nice location and if you do decide to stay here I’d recommend eating out. The staff were pleasant enough.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. The double room we stayed in is quite small with very limited storage. The bed was a bit lumpy in parts. The continental breakfast was great. Would stay again but in a different room.
