This is a great location with a picturesque pool. The small section of beach is perfect for the amount of visitors. The security guards are very helpful and friendly. Here are just a few things that I wish I’d known to make things a bit easier:
1) Although they say you will be charged if you request a cleaning, they do want to be notified if the room cleanliness is not perfect when you arrive. We needed to have floors swept better and the microwave cleaned to use it, so I wish I’d asked.
2) There are no cleaning products to wipe out dirty microwaves, if you want to do it yourself. There were also no garbage bags to be found and the front office doesn’t provide them. We were given one for each bathroom but none for the kitchen, yet you are asked to take garbage out daily. Luckily, I usually bring grocery bags with me for wet/dirty clothes.
3) When you first make a reservation, download WhatsApp. That is how every person communicates with you there. I emailed through Hotels.com 5 days before our stay but never received a response.
4) Uber isn’t allowed inside the airport, so you do have to take a taxi to Stanza Mare. They start out at $35, but there are so many drivers that one easily went down to $25. I then kept his number to schedule a return ride because taxis are hard to find there. But realize they are on island time and may show up 30 minutes late.
