It was nice bit dark and dingy but it was definitely a good stay shame there was no late check out unless you paid and also the bar staff seemed quite rude when we returned to use the pool Like kept questioning us if we staying in the hotel. Only to find there was no steam room and the pool was ice cold with no changing area. I would give it a overall 7/10

Tbh I didn’t use the hotel side I was only in the room over night. The room was amazing and it was only one of the lower end rooms. The only issue really was the shower tap wasn’t the best to operate and the shower head didn’t fit well due to having a new pipe which didn’t hold very well in the clip so the shower head was very lose. But apart from that it was a perfect stay.

Lovely stay. We stayed in a decadent room which was large and spacious with an outdoor patio area. There was a ‘show kitchen’ which was odd but all in all the room was as expected. The bathroom was large. Instructions on how to use the above rain style shower would have been good and our bathroom bin was not emptied from the previous occupants. Other than that we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Struggled to full stand in the bedroom as far as I'm aware it didn't mention this room was on a slope, both me and my partner are tallish but didn't expect to have to duck our whole time in the room

We only booked because we wanted to be close to a restaurant we were going to. This meant we didn’t take advantage of restaurant, pool or gym. Parking is free but you have to drive around the town until you find a space so not ideal. The rooms are also spread out over three separate buildings. We were over the road from reception but if you need anything, the very friendly staff bring it over to you.little tip Bring your own tea & coffee. We chose a snug room , our friends who are quite tall were moved to a comfort as they were told that the room would be too small. Our room was extremely small , tiny wardrobe with 2 hangers, no shelf in the shower to put wash bag & nowhere to put your case. The double sized bed was comfortable at least. I know it’s advertised as opulent & quirky but the quirkiness soon wears off , the room was very dark, with black studded walls & velvet ceiling & curtains. Air conditioning was noisy so had to turn that off & the room became very hot. Unfortunately this hotel didn’t suit us at all but I’m sure if you’re going to use all the amenities & you want something VERY different then you might enjoy it

This is our third visit to The Crazy Bear, but has now, I have been informed by the staff changed ownership and sadly it is not the place it used to be. The only area now to sit, chat and drink in is in the bar....gone are the cosy Moroccan styled areas inside the building. The pool area has also been changed. The day beds have gone, and now has no character. We have stayed in the decadent rooms, the slightly smaller rooms as well, but this time opted for the snug room. Oh my goodness, far too small, i would definitely not recommend. The staff are all friendly, but the ambience/atmosphere has left the building with the previous owners. Now it seems all about maximum dining area. The quirkiness of The Crazy Bear has gone, and sadly we would not return again.

Very very small confided space. Not for those who want space to get ready and relax in their room.

Absolutely loved our stay at the crazy bear. Staff were wonderful. Hotel was fabulous and we went to the Thai restaurant and the food was great. The whole stay was fabulous. Planning our next visit soon. Thank you for a great weekend ☺️

The Hotel is in an excellent location as Beaconsfield has everything you could need, the Thai restaurant is really nice, the only downside was the room we stayed in was close to the high street and was really noisy when pubs and restaurant's emptied late at night.

Overall the hotel was good, as was the food but the room let it down. We booked a 'Snug' and on arrival it was very cold. The heater was barely blowing warm air so we were moved into a warmer room. It was VERY small with no storage whatsoever, not even a shelf. The windows were filthy and the room was too dark. The very tiny bathroom didn't lend itself to be a wet room, condensation galore with no air vent which soaked the loo including the toilet paper. We found the room very frustrating to stay in and 2 people can't even pass each other without difficulty. Very annoying when you can barely move with nowhere to put anything. Bed was fairly comfortable, albeit a bit firm but we slept ok. If you don't mind very limited space and walking across the road to a separate building to stay then it's ok but don't expect any space. You also only get one hanger to hang clothes. You do at least get a wardrobe but that's it. Afternoon tea was delicious, as was the Thai. If the rooms were warmer, more spacious and they cleaned the windows so you could see out we might go back. They hide the dirt with dark shutters. The service and the food was exceptional but room was very disappointing.

It was a quick business trip, so no time to use the facilities. The room was indeed snug but perfectly adequate for one night. The lighting is very low, so difficult to put make up on etc. great iron, hairdryer etc. The main issue was the bathroom, which smelt mouldy, which was very disappointing.

The room was very elegant and clean, the bed was very comfortable & pillows perfect. Only downside was no bubble bath and the room was very hot which caused me to wake up at 4am but apart from that I was very happy with the hotel
