Our week-long stay at DBD Alaçatı unfortunately began with numerous problems. Without any prior notice, we were placed in a rather uncomfortable, inconvenient room on the ground floor. As two young women, we requested a room change for safety and comfort, but were asked for a significant price increase and denied without any assistance. Cleaning was not performed throughout our stay without our request. Furthermore, during our seven-night stay, we experienced power outages for four nights and water outages in the evenings for the entirety of our stay. The daytime receptionist's lack of communication, indifference, and refusal to offer solutions were also disappointing. Her insincere and unfriendly demeanor upon leaving the hotel on the last day of our one-week stay was a bit unsettling.
However, despite all these setbacks, the only thing that made our stay bearable was Harun Bey, the night receptionist. He is extremely polite, respectful, solution-oriented, and genuinely passionate about his job. He addressed every issue we had, empathizing and always trying to help. It was a great opportunity for us to witness such a professional approach and guest-focused approach. Thanks to Mr. Harun's attentiveness, we were able to tolerate many of the hotel's shortcomings to some extent. If this hotel has earned three stars, rest assured, they are all thanks to Mr. Harun. We shouldn't lose such staff. We thank him again.
