I love staying at the Mountaineer. I stay there every time I go to Vermont. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Parking is very easy good location, central to many restaurants and other amenities. Very nice coffee bar beautiful pool for swimming. great atmosphere. Love the easy check-inprocess. Everything is digital no keys to worry about.

While i met no staff (check-in was automated), the system worked well and I was able to access my room easily. It's a simple stay, but the room was clean, bed was very comfortable and updated (well beyond what you'd expect for a trekking spot) and location is excellent for hiking.

Expedia (or the property) misrepresented the distance from Manchester, stating it's 16.2 miles when it was actually 33 miles, many of which are winding mountain roads and even a stretch of gravel road. The overall property felt very tired. The absence of any staff is disconcerting. Fortunately, there were other guests.

When I arrived, I was extremely disappointed that the pool, as advertised, was a gross green color. The hallways were musty-smelling. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

Quiet hotel, easy check in. Was disappointed that pool was not in working condition, should be explained at the website. Common areas inside are spacious and inviting to relax, read a book.

I think this place would have been fine if I didn't have higher expectations. Never saw any staff, check in and out was over the phone. That was weird. Pool was green. No breakfast options except tea and coffee. Only 2 towels for a three person reservation. Room was very small (and no fire place) Looks like a nice place in the winter when there are staff around.

It was ok for the price. I could hear the people walking around above me but that stopped by bedtime. The room didn’t have a refrigerator so I went to the community refrigerator but it was tiny. There were no towels in the bathroom but an automated text directed me where to find them in the hall. The volume on the tv wouldn’t go beyond 14 so it was difficult to hear, especially with the air conditioner on. The pool was not functioning and I had left my activity early so I could go for a swim. The shower was pretty good and the bed was comfortable.

The rooms were compact, but appeared to be newly remolded. Bathroom small, but nicely done and clean. Lots of common space for groups to hang out, indoors and out. Easy, contactless check in. Be sure to read the ammenities. No refrigerator or microwave in room. We finally found a small fridge in a common space, but there wasn't any room for our food as others had their food in there. My biggest issue was that we drove out of our way to have a hotel with a pool. Their webpage highlights a beautiful outdoor pool-- perfect for the 90 degree weekend. When we arrived, a small sign on the registration desk said that the pool was closed. By the looks of the water, it had been closed for more than a day or two, plenty of time for the hotel to notify their guests. There should be a discount when a significant ammenty is unavailable as this was the only reason we booked this hotel with our kids. Outside of the hotel is shabby and common spaces are dated, but nice.

The stay was fine as it was a value based decision. The room was nice, clean and bathroom was good. TV and Ac worked well. However, the pool was closed, and no advance notice was given. Was a main reason for choosing this location and it was a holiday weekend. So it was disappointing and the pool was green. Also, the coffee machine was also out of service. Otherwise the off-season stay was fine.

I had an excellent stay at the Mountaineer Inn. The Inn was very clean, quiet, and peaceful. I just wish the pool was available for use. I’m confident the I will stay at the Mountaineer Inn again in the future.

Check in just ok. All online. No staff present to assist. Room was small and poorly equipped. No fridge or microwave. There was no coffee machine in the room or common areas. No ice machine or water/soft drink machines. Dont think we would return.

There is no staff, you have to check in yourself. While we tried to check in , we were asked to give $151.53 deposit.There were 4 ladies waiting there for 45 minutes for the text messages with the codes to enter rooms.... we asked them about the deposit, they said they had to give $50 deposit, so we decided to call and ask why we should be paying $151.53. After talking to customer service and doing the check in with her, this time the screen asked for $50 deposit. Everything took much longer then it should. The ladies that were waiting for codes, spent an hour and half just to get in the rooms, the codes weren't working and it happened few times. When we came back from town we turned on the air conditioner... we learned, it was barely working. It would work for about 30 minutes blowing barely cool air and stop completely. It would not go back on again untill we turned it on manually again, we tried this several times. It was 80 degrees in the room, we called customer service, the lady said she will let the maintenance know and he will come by.We waited 40 minutes and decided to call again.She offered us different room, but she said it might be a downgrade, we couldn't agree to that, after going back and forth, she gave us room across. Same problem, called again, it was HOT all night, we asked for refund, nothing. I noticed reading reviews ,the manager responds only to good ones. Bad service, dirty windows , no ice , no working coffee maker DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

We got there and were unable to get in. No code send. Had to call for code, the code they sent didn’t work finally after about 20 minutes another guest showed up and let us in. Advertising pool, the pool was closed
