The room is nice and the staff was friendly. The rooftop restaurant was absolutely impeccable. The views are amazing from the rooftop! We really enjoyed the evening chocolates and fruit as well. We had everything we needed in the room. The staff looked after us quite well. We really appreciated them setting up tours for us. That said, all of our tours were perfect...and we really enjoyed Feti, Lofti & Sadok. Although they are not associated with the hotel, we appreciated them setting us up with these wonderful guides. It made the trip extra memorable.

Incredible amenities and staff. From the minute I got out of the car, the staff greeted me and took my suitcase. I felt immediately welcomed. The room was in great condition and it was exactly like the pictures. Another pro was that the hotel had its own spa and it was the best one I’ve been to in Tunisia. Dar Dorra is connected to El Jeld so you get to use the same amenities.

The Dar is kept in immaculate condition, and it's in a prime location in the medina. Just a note to persons who prefer air conditioning or require it, our room was roughly 24C on average, and the Dar does not turn on air conditioning until summer. We were used to the heat coming from a desert climate ourselves, but others may struggle with sleeping in that temperature.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this Dar (hotel). The hotel is exceptionally clean, the pool is aesthetically pleasing, the staff is exceptionally helpful, and the breakfast is exceptional. I particularly appreciate the small dish of chocolates and fruit that is delivered to the room each evening. This hotel is highly recommended.

This place is in an excellent location for the old part of Tunis. All staff members were very helpful. You can ask them to have their driver meet you at the airport.

Staff was friendly, although they put me in a room far from reception, even though there were very few people at the hotel. Also, the safe did not work. And when I left my room a few times, someone came in to drop off oranges and dates, which was nice. But I told the front desk that my safe was not working and no one came to help. Unfortunately it seems that someone took money out of my bag which I did not notice until I left Tunis. It would have been nice to have a working safe. I also did not appreciate people coming into my room without my permission or me knowing. The spa was nice, but with my money being gone, I can’t say this was a great hotel.

Amazing experience. This is my favorite hotel. The staff and the spa are the best.

Superb breakfast

A beautiful hotel set in a quiet corner of the Medina. Staff were helpful. Breakfast up on the roof was also good. We wish we could have stayed longer.

I loved this Dar (hotel). The hotel is exceptionally clean, the pool is lovely, the staff are super helpful and the breakfast is amazing. I especially like the little dish of chocolates and fruit that is delivered to the room of an evening. This hotel is excellent value.

The dar is historical, beautiful and luxurious

Dar Dorra was a fantastic experience. Room was perfect - nice size and most facilities you would expect in larger hotel chains. Breakfast buffet was great but was same everyday but there was enough variety to not get bored. Location was perfect for the bazaar and for sightseeing. Complimentary fruit and chocolate every night which was very nice. The property is well maintained and very beautiful. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. If you want to stay in the Medina this is the go to place you won't be disappointed.

This hotel is an absolute gem. I loved my stay here. Being in the Medina was so special. The hotel is beautiful. You have no idea what’s behind that wall and beautiful doors from the street. It’s a palace inside with lots of beautiful rooms, staircases leading to more beautiful rooms and up to the rooftop with a fabulous restaurant and views of the city. I stayed in one of the bed & breakfast rooms in Dar Dorra. It exceeded all expectations. The staff were wonderful. I could not have asked for more.
