The royal mountain hotel is managed by a lovely gentleman. He made our stay feel safe and comfortable. The room we had was very spacious for our family of 5. The pool is nice and refreshing after a long day. The hotel is located in the west bank so close to the valley of the kings and the Hatsheput temple. This place felt like home and we loved our stay here. There is not many restaurants near the hotel but with a bit of notice the manager can organise food served at the terrace. Thanks Khudri for your hospitality and assistance over our stay. We hope to be back again one day in the future.

Well, this is out of the way, for those who want or love the peace and quiet of country air and life. Transportation is available to any of the historic sites, or market, or grocery-store, or take-away food shops. Souvenirs are abundant at the Valley of the Kings area before entering the gate, but you will need to work hard to get really great bartered prices. Walk away, and the price will come down! From this hotel, you will have access to whatever you would like in the beautiful ancient city of Thebes/Luxor. We arrived by bus from Cairo for $9.00 each, which is a wonderful price in 2025! and the hotel is very inexpensive...we spent 10 days there and will definitely be back for a longer stay of peace and quiet and rest and watching Christian videos with our phone internet or their internet service. Our room was large, beautiful, and modern, and the owner was very hospitable and willing to do anything for us! One warning: there are semi-dangerous dogs around the region of Luxor, so use the Rick-shaws or taxis, or keep a pocket full of rocks to chase off and away the dogs, and never touch their puppies!

We had a great stay at Royal Mountain Hotel on the West Bank. We were very happy with the bright, new, large accommodation. As a family of five we had tons of room to stretch out. The pool area is very nice as is the roof top. The owner and staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. It’s also very close to Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut’s temple and other West Bank sights. There is a new bridge which connects the West Bank to Luxor’s downtown so it is easy and quick to get between the two. We definitely recommend the Royal Mountain Hotel.

This has views of the Valley of Kings and is a very nice and comfortable space. The owner also provides private tours that is very convenient and well organized. WiFi is an issue in the rooms however.

When choosing our hotel, I wanted something not too big as my daughter suffers from social anxiety, so I chose The Royal Mountain Hotel. The photos do not do it justice. It is the loveliest hotel with the most beautiful views overlooking the Valley of the Kings. It is based on the West Bank of the Nile which was so peaceful and only a short drive from the airport. We thought we had a room, yet on arrival, it was a beautiful suite with 2 balconies, large bathroom, kitchen and living room area. There was a rooftop terrace with a 360° view of Luxor where we sat and ate breakfast, it was even more stunning at night where you can relax. We went mid December for my daughter’s 18th and it was still hot enough to sunbathe beside their pool. Our host was Mohamed, he was brilliant. Anything we needed he took care of along with his staff. The best thing about Mohamed was that he is a trained tour guide. We were in contact before I arrived and I told him everything we wanted to see whilst there. He booked everything for us and took us on the most amazing tours which were just us rather than the other big groups you see with the other tour guides. His knowledge took us back in time where you could really get the feel of Egypts history. He chose a wonderful restaurant for us to eat which was included in the tour price and the food was so delicious. We loved the sunset boat trip up the Nile and we especially loved the hot air balloon at sunrise. I highly recommend The Royal Mountain Hotel.

The Royal Mountain Hotel is not in the centre of Luxor, but its position on the edge of the desert near the Valley of the Kings means it is quiet and has beautiful views of the nearby mountains. Khodry and his team are very helpful, with excellent English, and organise good-value tours and guiding. The pool is clean and well-maintained and the hotel food is tasty and authentically Egyptian. Portion sizes are large. The family suite was huge and brilliant for the kids. All in all we were very happy with our stay at the hotel and would definitely stay here again.

I spent a few days in the 2 bedroom unit with my husband and three kids. We really enjoyed our stay. The host was very attentive, the rooms were perfectly clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The rooftop balcony has an amazing view of the ballon launches. The pool area was great for relaxing and it has a shallow end thats around 1m; perfect for kids. The best part though.... the food. Absolutely delicious, authentic egyptian dishes are on the menu. The host was so gracious to work around our tour schedule when preparing meals. If i ever return to Luxor, I would absolutely stay here again.

The room was amazing and the view incredible but Only 2 choices on menu and Breakfast is only bread and coffee. There Is a stove but not utensils to use. I chose this because was with breakfast included. Not even a decent one. The owner is a bit of a stalker. The man appeared wherever he walked outside the room.

Where do I begin!? Khodary’s professionalism is unlike any other. He took his sweet time in ensuring we enjoyed every night to the fullest. He supplied us with great amenities, respected our privacy & ensured we were getting our money’s worth. We booked two day tours with him and he showed us around Luxor, explaining the important monuments and temples with such ease. Dinner & service was 10/10! I would definitely recommend staying at the royal mountain hotel. Thank you so much Khodary!
