Rooms were clean but very very basic.

Checkin was seamless, the reception isnt that well highlighted but all fine. Room was located easily. Room light and airy lovely view overlooking the garden. Breakfast was nice and pleasant staff. Went to the bar on the 2nd night female bar staff very unapproachable and not engaging at all. No please or thank you. Other than that pleasant stay

A great stay at a central location. The only criticism was that I asked for a TV remote, as mine was missing and I never received one, so the next guest will have the same issue.

This is a National Sports centre which offers accommodation of two kinds. The Hall itself is dates to the late 1800's it is splendid! The modern block provides something more akin to student accommodation. Our stay in the Hall was excellent. We particularly enjoyed the sunny terrace looking out over beautifully managed gardens. Breakfast was plentiful and included a wide variety of hot and cold foods. Parking was easy. As I have mobility issues, Poppy went out of her way to ensure access to all areas. Thank her for caring enough to make a difference.

Brilliant better now gym is to standard

Another brilliant 2 nights where we were welcomed with respect. A relaxing experience from start to finish.

Disbled parking is taken up by vistors that dont have blue badges or a disability, and often blocked by parents dropping off kids to hockey, gymnastics or football. When a complaint was raised i was told there is nothing they can do about it. Food in the cafe is over priced, breakfast is a joke with runny scrambled eggs, under cooked bacon, and various foods removed because its been deemed "unhealthy" like black pudding (yet fatty bacon and greasy sausages are fine) You might want to actually learn about nutrition rather than blindly assume. Each time i have stayed they have been late opening the doors for breakfast. Some desk staff are abrupt and unhelpful. Mouldy showers. No power sockets near the beds.

Our room was basic but spotlessly clean. Had a great night's sleep on very comfortable bed. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Would definitely return

Big, clean room with everything we need. Food at dinner and breakfast very good. Only slight criticism would be that the double bed could be a bit bigger, we're used to a king size

Really interesting place to stay. Once it’s something different from the norm. The facilities were great, as in the gym.

Not a great stay, a very tired room, peeling paint, mould and generally dusty, with lack of people to guide you in the maze of the complex. I've stayed here a few times, others stays were pretty good, but on this occasion, the room given was below par.
