Lovely spacious 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment within 5 mins walk from Karasuma Oike station. We appreciated the location which is quite central (just 2 stops away from Shijo station and 3 stops away from Kyoto station) and walking distance (about 15 to 20 mins) to Nijo Castle. A lovely surprise was that the hotel offered free beer (2 types) and free sake (3 types) from 9am to 9pm, which allowed us (who aren't regular drinkers) to sample delicious Japanese beer and sake. The staff were really kind and helpful. They put our luggages (which were delivered to the hotel before our check in) in our apartment so that we didn't have to lug the luggages up to our apartment upon checkin. They also offered to help us make reservations for restaurants provided we gave them 1 day advance notice. Upon our request, they provided us a weighing scale to weigh our luggages before we headed off to the airport. They even passed us a personal well written thank you note upon check out, which was a lovely personal touch.

Location is great, room is very clean. The staff were very helpful. Perfect stay for group and family
