Seriously, amazing place and amazing stay. The staff there are very nice and helpful. You get a free continental breakfast each morning which was lovely. The room was spacious and clean. It’s located in the heart of the town, which was perfect for walking to restaurants, bars, shops and a short walk to Grindelwald first and Pfingstegg cable cars for the zipling and tobaggan. We didn’t have a balcony in our room but they set up a patio in the back with amazing views of the mountains where you can hang out and relax. Can’t recommend Tschuggen enough!

Wow! This hotel was such a great find on Expedia!! We booked 8 months ahead of our trip! For being centrally located on the main drag in Grindelwald, the price of this hotel was unbeatable! People don’t stay in Grindelwald due to the cost/night, but this find is relatively budget friendly, super clean, and comfortable, with breakfast included. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful! The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking (north face of the Eiger)!! I’d go back to this hotel in a heartbeat! It’s an easy walk from the train station, bus station and First Mtn Gondola. All other activities like Jungfraujoch and Glacier Canyon are super easy to get to by walking, bus, or train!

Wonderful views from our room! very close to the train station. Lots of shops and dining options nearby. There’s also a coop by the train station. staff were all great! Bfast is same everyday but enough variety to satisfy. The only thing I was uncomfortable with were the bedsheets. It felt rough for me and scratchy but this might just be personal preference. Also, not sure about the noise upstairs. We were supposedly on the top floor but we can definitely hear footsteps. Other than that, we we’re happy and would definitely stay here again when we come back!

Nice staff

Amazing stay. Near train station just a short walk up a sloper pathway. Lotsa shopping to do along the main street where hotel is located. The host was helping and friendly. Good to recommend to othersb.

This is a small family owned hotel but very well managed. It has basic amenities but the view from my balcony is excellent. It is very well located in Grindelwald.

Centrally located in Grindelwald. Spectacular views, if you book a room facing the mountains. Quaint 1980s feel to the place, classic and vintage.

Lovely family room /apartment decorated in tbe traditional Swiss style. Friendly host, simple but delicious breakfast, and excellent central location.

View from my balcony was spectacular even the room was small and little outdated I didn’t mind at all because of the view of Eiger. Friendly staff.

Get the balcony view! Such a breathtaking view. Staff was so nice and welcoming. Area is perfect: 5 minute walk to the train station, shops all around, supermarket 3 minute walk. Just absolutely perfect location.

We loved our six night stay at Hotel Tshuggen and Grindelwald. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. We had a room on the first floor with a balcony and a beautiful view out to Mt Eiger. It was a short walk to the train station which gave us access to most of the attractions and ski fields, and a short walk in the opposite direction to FirstBahn. Breakfast was included in the room tariff and was a selection of cereals, yogurt, fruit, cheese, bread and croissants and deli meats, along with a variety of teas and coffee, and orange juice. It was a lovely way to start the day.

Beautiful Views, Great Location

The rooms were very clean but the view it provided was priceless. The reason you visit Switzerland. Good as advertised!

La propiedad está bastante buena ,lo que vieja ,deberían de arreglarla un poco ,por ejemplo las alfombras del cuarto #17 que fue el que nos quedamos está sucia y vieja ,los colchones malísimos y que decir de las almohadas ,mejores que esas las he botado(horribles en verdad ) La propiedad las atiende un matrimonio (no se si son los dueños on no )son los que te reciben y los que preparan y sirven el desayuno en las mañanas . El desayuno es bien limitado ,te dan un huevo hervido x persona ,y una cesta de panes de diferentes tipos que q todos no nos gustan (en mi caso solo me gustaba un tipo de pan )pides otro pan y te ponen mala cara ,y te dicen que no tienen más cuando después cuando van llegando las otras personas ,le dan (o sea que si había lo que no te dan más )ponen un poco de jamón queso en fin para mi entender no es un buen desayuno y uno se siente cohibido .Para el precio de la propiedad pensé que todo iba a ser mucho mejor ,fue todo por debajo de nuestras espectativas . La vista de mi ventana espectacular ,si quieres amanecer con una viste increíble en el balcón este es el lugar . También quiero agregar que justo al lado hay un bar a a veces son las tres de la madrugada y están tomando riendo y hablando altísimo y no te dejan dormir ,pues como no tiene aire acondicionado ni elevador (maletas escaleras arriba)tienes que dormir con las ventanas abiertas . No soy de hacer comentarios pero si quise hacerlo Pues me pareció el lugar demasiado caro para lo que brindan

We asked for a quiet room but were given a room next to noisy breakfast area so we’re awaken every morning at 6:30am. We could also hear everything upstairs. If you are claustrophobic, the room height is very low. Breakfast compromised of yogurt, bread, fruit and cofeee (no eggs) Room also had mosquitos and spiders.

Great location with a million $ view. The rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and friendly. It was like being in nature and yet close to everything. Lots of good restaurants within 2 minutes and train station 10 minutes. First was just down the street and train was one stop to top of Europe. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Would love to stay again and highly recommend.
