This was such a unique experience! Must be one of the most original places I’ve ever stayed at. I was a bit stressed that I would feel claustrophobic but the ‘cell’ was surprisingly spacious and there’s a large window. The only downside is that it’ was a bit hot during the night but that would probably be the case for any hotel across the region this time of the year. The view is breathtaking. The staff was helpful, friendly and attentive. Would recommend to everyone!

Cool historic concept. Good heritage adaptation. Sleeping in a concrete prison cell is a unique experience; perhaps not for everyone. Didn't use any amenities.

Great hotel let down a little by breakfast. Rooms are very basic but lovely, would have valued a fridge and kettle.

Great stay. Staff very polite and helpful. Breakfast was lovely but not enough coffee cups. Pool was out of order quite dirty but a wonderful unique stay would definitely recommend. Beziers is beautiful and peaceful

Nous avons réservé notre séjour dans votre établissement en grande partie pour pouvoir profiter du couloir de nage. Or, à notre arrivée, nous avons constaté avec surprise et déception que le couloir de nage était complètement vide et inaccessible. À aucun moment lors de la réservation il n’était indiqué que celui-ci serait fermé. Nous comprenons que des travaux ou fermetures puissent être nécessaires, mais l’absence d’information préalable est particulièrement regrettable, surtout lorsqu’il s’agit d’un équipement important dans le choix d’un hôtel. Dommage car l’originalité de l’hôtel et le reste des installations étaient sinon conformes à nos attentes.

Absolutely fabulous stay. We stayed in one of the 'cellules' which was all we needed, it was immaculately clean, the bed was very comfortable and moving didn't disturb each other. The staff was exceptional; polite, professional, friendly and helpful. They allowed me to speak French without correcting me and spoke in perfect English when I floundered and then reverted to French. I wish we had booked breakfast as the meal times in Beziers are very much adhered to (in our experience).

Very interesting place in a converted prison. Excellent location for exploring Beziers. Very helpful front desk. Excellent breakfast. The thing that kept me from giving 5 stars was the inconsistent housekeeping. Two days of our stay we had to ask for towels as there was no towel exchange or room cleaning. It did have some of the most ridiculous art on display (like the skull picture) that should be burned. Some of the other sculptures had me questioning what drugs the artist was on. We did like the alien in the outer courtyard. Hotel pool had suffered some damage in a recent wind storm but it was really too cool to enjoy anyway. This was probably a one time stay for us.

Really loved this place. Great, comfortable super king sized bed, clean and modern rooms, great friendly staff. What’s not to like!?!

A lovely surprise but probably best to take a taxi as it is a steep walk! I was given a superior room upgrade and next time I will happily pay for that. The view was magnificent. The rooms are VERY basic and a bit short on power outlets but full of character. Staff lovely.

мені дістався номер з чудовим видом з вікна, в номері було тепло, чудова постіль і ліжко, сама локація готелю дуже вдала але мінусів я нарахувала більше: - жахливий вай фай в номерах, його частіше нема, ніж він є; - відсутність розеток біля ліжка; - не зайвим було б видавати капці гостям, бо підлога доволі прохолодна; - сніданки прям дуже посередні і слабенькі, вчасно не доносять їжу, яка вже закінчилась. ви можете опинитися в ситуації, коли прийдете на сніданок за 40 хвилин до завершення і вам дістанеться лише трохи хліба, масло, джем, мед і цілі фрукти. ніяких овочів не було представлено взагалі. кава просто жахлива

What can be said that has not already been said? Wow! We loved that the staff were as enthusiastic about a hotel, formerly a prison, as we were. The art work in the room/cell and through out the building was amazing, thought provoking and modern. The room in "prison chic" was very comfortable and spacious for two tired cycle tourists. Plus, a super secure place to store our bikes, much appreciated. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of variety and worth the price. Our only regret is not being in Beziers when the restaurant was open for evening meals. Definitely one of the most unique places we have stayed and the most memorable. Merci to the whole team that make this place a joy to stay in.

Never made it to this hotel. We spent over an hour looking for it. We could not even park our rental car close by to find the hotel by foot. NO PARKING TO BE FOUND ANYWHERE. No hotel to be found, no parking so we could walk around to look. Driving to this hill, the streets are very narrow ( not exaggerating at all). We found another hotel at the center of town.

Our second stay at La Prison... and it was just as good as the first! This time we had very comfortable twin beds, which meant we could look out of the window at the view...and what a view! Great sunset both evenings! Didn't eat at the bistro as we had other places we wanted to eat at, but did have breakfast. Plenty of choice. Only niggle was the fruit juice was very sweet. The place is quirky, it's a little out of the way, but we would (and will) stay there again. Only negative... they promote the use of bicycles, but couldn't help us with hiring a bike.

Excellent room with a beautiful view. Very comfortable bed. The staff were excellent and very friendly. The restaurant had excellent service and the food was phenomenal. They also have a terrace where it is lovely to have a wine by glass and enjoy the view. Excellent accessibility from the ground level as there were several elevators to avoid walking up steep hills. Would absolutely recommend this hotel if staying in Beziers.
