They have smart TV's, you'll need an account with something to watch TV. Remember to log out before you leave. Inserting the door card to get power everywhere was a unique thing.

This place works if you’re looking for a basic, budget-friendly stay for a night or two. Pros: Easy and convenient parking Clean room and bathroom Good internet connection Very reasonable price ADA-compliant kitchen and bathroom setup Full kitchen with cookware and appliances Building and interiors look nice and modern Cons: The bed was squeaky and not the most comfortable Door had no insulation—you can hear regular conversation from the hallway Fridge was noisy during the night Shower only had a curtain, and water leaked easily onto the bathroom floor It’s not really a hotel in the traditional sense. Feels more like a student or long-term stay building. You check in by picking up a key from a nearby motel about 5 minutes away by car, and check out by simply leaving the key in the room and sending a text. There’s no front desk or room service. Overall, it’s okay for a short stay if you don’t need much beyond a clean space to sleep. Just be aware that privacy is limited and it’s not a full-service hotel.

Would be a 5/5 if the key didn't need to be picked up at a different hotel first. Had lots of great amenities and in a nice area.

Nicely appointed private studio. Very clean and very welcoming and comfortable. Great minimalist design. You will check-in somewhere else so read the details before you drive to the actual destination. Don’t quite know how the tv channels worked. There was only one, also bring your own Keurig pods our ground coffee, an ice tray and an iron.

Places run terribly everybody that lives at this apartment hates management. It does not have any amenities even a one star hotel would have the room wasn’t ready until after 4 PM. The key card is at another hotel 4 miles away. If you have to pick it up at 4 PM, you’re stuck in traffic to get to the next place not well fought out management doesn’t care and if you leave a second after checkout time, your car doesn’t work and you’re locked out of the building, not really sure how they even have a license because when I asked, they couldn’t provide it to me

Avoid at all costs. Not a hotel. An apartment building where you have to get key 5 miles away at 4pm which puts you in dead stop San Diego traffic on any given weekday. If you check out one minute late, your key doesn’t work anymore and you cannot get your stuff or into the building the managers or the owner Victoria Fox runs it like a slumlord everybody that lives in the building hates management and says it’s wrong like a POS. There are no glasses. There are no amenities like cups coffee or anything you would expect even from a one star motel. My room wasn’t ready until after 4 PM even after sitting in traffic although the cleaning people are very nice the place is just run terrible. There was no cable while I was there and that seems pretty consistent on a normal basis with most of the tenants that live there. Parking situation was not properly explained and apparently I parked in another person spot and pissed that person off because it happens all the time because of management just really really unfortunate way to run a building. Yes it’s cheap but you’re paying for the cheapness.

I did see in the reviews you had to pick up the key somewhere else, so I got the address ahead of time which was ok. What i didnt like was parking was double booked. Someone was in my assigned spot and it took like 30 minutes to get ahold of someone and get a new spot. My stay was for 4 people and only two towels. The shower drain was full of hairs. No extra blankets for the pull out couch. The tv does not work so yeah we were bored before bedtime. The most sucky part is these bad comments have been stated and they do nothing to address it. Not staying here again.

I expected a hotel and ended up with some kind of Airbnb without any explanation. We got "hotel" and no one was there. After spending an hour trying to figure out what was going on. We have to drive all the way to hotel circle to get a freaking key card to get in. They have you a list of chores to do before you leave like clean up, take out the trash, etc. if I wanted an Airbnb, I would have gotten an Airbnb.

The rooms are outstanding because you can actually live there. Refrigerator, 2 burner stove and a amazing bathroom. The security outstanding is because your the only one that can get in.

Like the rooms everything was clean From parking to room Just didn’t like that you have to check in at another property

Pros: It was ok for the price. It was spacious. Cons: Missing trash can. Missing light bulb in the bedroom.

It was a nice place overall the only thing that I did not agree with was our room had four smoke detectors... Well 2 smoke detectors and 2 carbon monoxide detectors... Which would constantly go off at the slightest amount of steam or smoke when I was cooking... It was so frustrating. Management and the maintenance guy... (Or at least that's what they said) Showed up to my door and kicked me out! No refund, no offer to move me and my fiançee to another room, no any other accommodation, nothing! Just get out, the cops have been called, thank you very much. So unfortunately this brought my stay to an abrupt end. I have yet to receive a refund of any sort. Everything else about the property is acceptable.

Two complaints, the furniture was a bit worn and no kind of basic cable. No espn or TNT on a NBA, NHL playoff weekend? Still, a goid place to stay. I would recommend it. 👍

To whom this may concern, Hello, this is the 2nd time staying at this hotel “starling place” and i have to say it wasn’t pleasant at all, for starters i had booked a 2nd story suite on Expedia , that suppose to sleep 4 and have extra room/ amenities, because my previous stay which was April 28th, i had booked the basic studio which was cheaper & less space, etc. We arrive to the room and it’s absolutely trashed, bed isn’t made there’s dirty towels on the floor and condoms on the floor, there was trash everywhere and it was honestly the most disgusting thing ever to have to endure. Given that I had to drive back to the key card pick up location and forth to the starling forcing me to waste time & gas. When I had finally arrived to see what was going on or if there was a mistake and the property manager I spoke to said that they can offer a room lower cost of what I paid for and the only way to get a refund or exchange is through the app of which I booked with. So now we’re at the “new” room for the 2nd time and the remote was not functional at all and the handles on the drawer cabinets were also broken, one more thing was that the heater didn’t go above 74 degrees, but when we stayed last time we had the heater on at 80 degrees. Given this all in all terrible experience I probably wouldn’t recommend coming back and spending any more money here.

I liked how it was more like an apartment but if you need a new key or if there is a discrepancy with the parking you have to drive to hotel circle to pick anything up and yhe number you have to call no one ever answers.... But all in all it was a really nice experience. Only thing that left a bad taste in myouth was one of the tenants complained directly to me cause my motorcycle was too loud.... It was 4 in the afternoon, and I wasn't being rude like over revving my bike or trying to make noise... I get where he's coming from but he threatened me and told me that he would have me kicked out. Well I apologized even though I didn't think I was in the wrong., and your window is right by the motorcycle parking, he could of came at me a little more respectful.... But you can't really control what other tenants are going to say to you or treat you. But besides that it was a good stay.

This is not a hotel! It’s more like a Airbnb they shouldn’t be on Expedia. To drive to different location just to get a key to get inside it’s so inconvenient. That I even canceled n got a different hotel. They should put that in there bookings. Don’t reserve here it’s not a Hotel
