We booked this accommodation through the Traveloka app, but upon arrival, we discovered there was no parking, the air conditioning was broken, and the toilet was clogged. I thought Traveloka was a secure platform that verified its partners, but the reality was a complete failure. We confirmed with the accommodation, and they instructed us to confirm with Traveloka, as this had apparently happened before at the accommodation. We felt like we were being ping-ponged around because the accommodation seemed to be letting us seek clarification on our own, contacting Traveloka, only to be told that there had been no confirmation from the accommodation, so a refund was not possible. We felt VERY disadvantaged. We canceled our stay, and my money was not returned.
The fact that I was able to write a review for this hotel clearly indicated that my money had been received by the accommodation and was a valid transaction. This meant the accommodation was getting my money without providing any service, and I could even say they were irresponsible.
