So happy we stayed here rather than right downtown Lucerne. It was so relaxing to be just a quick walk to the lake. We took the number 6 or 8 bus downtown when we were too tired to walk and it was a 5 minute ride and always easy to catch. Very thankful for the air conditioning! The room was lovely and appreciate the drinks and snacks. I am recommending this to my friends and would gladly come back.

Pros: The room and bathroom were clean and we appreciated that water and snacks were included. Beds and pillows were comfortable, furniture was newer/in good shape, and the towels and toiletries were high quality. An in room AC unit was provided and wifi was good. The bus stop is only a 4 minute walk away so easy to access from the main train station. Breakfast is served at the beautiful sister hotel (Hotel Beau Sejour) only a 5 minute walk away - highly recommend including this in your stay as the food was good and you get a lake view from the patio. Cons: Read the fine print before your reserve - there are lots of steps and no elevator. No front desk and no onsite staff person so it's a self-check in situation and there's no one to help with luggage. Lastly, the artwork on the walls in the rooms is downright disturbing - faces of ghost-like figures and weird sculpted pieces.

Their system was well-explained and easy to figure out. It was close to the old town in Lucerne without having too hefty of prices. It was a comfortable room to stay in, especially with a window AC unit

Short 3 minute walk from nearest bus stop. There is air conditioning but no additional fan. There is no elevator; only stairs. This is a self-serve hotel - you will make your own key(s) at first floor "station." Bathroom is very modern but there is no vent/fan; you must open window to vent the room. There are no bug screens on the windows. There is no folding suitcase rack/stand.

A nice little place to stay! Don’t worry about the distance from the main area. It’s a very quick and easy bus ride with a stop right outside the hotel, or a nice walk along the lake, and we enjoyed being away from the centre. The hotel was very quiet, clean, and self check-in very simple and quick. There are some nice touches, like drinks in the fridge and coffee/kettle all included, which we didn’t find anywhere else in Switzerland.

The property was in a great location and a very cool experience with being right on the water. We loved the near blackout blinds and the bed was large and comfortable. The reason I'm giving it a 3 star is because the place wasn't that clean, the towels were very scratchy, the shower head was broken when we arrived which they fixed, it then stopped working again. The first time it was fixed , no notice was given and the person just showed up while we were napping. The second time we couldn't even get a response from the owner for about 5 hours. After they did respond it was fixed again though which was good. We also found the title misleading. It says your renting a houseboat when you are actually only renting half a houseboat. The owner lives in the other half and there are signs saying how you shouldn't be loud because it could disturb the owner. This should very clearly stated in the description of the rental.

The room was great. Be prepared for stairs. Air conditioner was great in warm weather. Location was great.

My room was a bit noisy since it faced the street. The laundry service was alright though I did have to take my laundry to the sister hotel down the street. But it was ready for me the next morning. As a nice touch they had umbrellas for guest use which came in handy as I’d forgotten to bring one. Breakfast likewise is at the sister hotel down the street. I enjoyed the minibar snacks and drinks (no alcohol) that were included in the room price. I would stay here again.

The room was lovely and clean. A few nice little welcoming touches. Bus stop just outside or walk by the lake to the centre if Lucerne easily.

Place was beautiful, clean, located right near the lake for great views, and only a few minutes walk to Chapel Bridge and all the main shops. I only give it a 4 out of 5 because almost nothing gets a 5. Either way, I would definitely stay here again!

Nice room, fast internet, big bathroom and spacious shower, no TV in the room

The location was very nice but the space was disappointing to find out that you had to cross from one bedroom to get to the other bedroom and cross the other bedroom with sitting area to get to the bathroom. It was unacceptable that the patio door was the only means of getting fresh air into the first bedroom but that door did not open making it unpleasant at night.

We really enjoyed our stay, great location and the city itself is fantastic. Nice to have the provided bus pass to get around town and so many great places to explore. Everything was clean and nice. All around great experience with very friendly hosts. Would highly recommend

A pleasant enough place, lovely spot. Shame we got unlucky with the roadside windows, instead of the lake/garden side. But still perfectly okay.
