The staff are super-helpful, and the breakfast is just amazing. We stayed in the barn annex, which is nice and quiet, with a nice common area with free tea/coffee etc.

Amazing location and an our room was 109% to our satisfaction. The Lister Arms I believe also own the Buck Inn 100 yards away so we checked out both menus as they cater for different tastes and we chose the Buck inn to eat at which was perfect for us and they also had Sky Sports on which was a bonus. Definitely will return to the Lister Arms next year as the area is truly an amazing place and the value for money for bed and a fantastic breakfast is certainly worth every penny

Great location and really friendly & helpful staff. Although there were none visible during our stay, dogs are welcome for a small charge. Parking is understandably at a premium due to its village location. Check out of 10am but people naturally leave there cars whilst going for a walk. This means the car park was still full at the 3pm check in time. There is spare parking available at another property but it’s always best to have your car where you’re staying. Superb walks from the doorstep up to Malham Cove, Gordale Scar and round to the beautiful Janet’s Foss. We had a meal in the Lister Arms whilst we stayed there. Although it was nice we felt it didn’t live up to the AA rosette standard they’ve been awarded. The breakfast however was amazing. Fresh( & we presume) local produce that was hot and plentiful. Cereals and toast as well as decent tea made it a hit

Weekend well spent at the Lister Arms that I intend to repeat! Great location for visiting a lovely part of the Yorkshire Dales. Check in was welcoming and well organised. Lovely decor (room and restaurant/bar), spotlessly clean. Delicious food and friendly efficient service. Lovely breakfast with plenty to choose from.

We booked to stay in the Lister Arms, but a few weeks before our stay we got a call from them explaining that the pub would be closed due to a refit. We were offered a room in their Barn, which was an upgrade, but our breakfast and any other services would be at the Buck inn, which was a few hundred yards away. So, we checked out the food menu at the Buck, to see if it had a decent choice, it did, so we accepted the change to the booking, as it was still technically with the Lister Arms. We arrived, and booked in at the Buck, got our room sorted at the barn, which was very close, and very nice accommodation, which we were more than happy with, We booked a table for an evening meal at the Buck, as the only other option to eat in the village was at a hotel which was plant based food only. The menu at the Buck, was not what was on their website, very very limited, and very expensive (£18 for 4 pieces of cheese and crackers)! It was such a basic menu, which did not change for the 3 nights we were there. Our only other option was to drive out to find another place to eat, the weather was awful, plus we wanted a relaxing break. We would never have stayed here if we had known this. As we booked for the Lister Arms, we have to review as such. Very disappointing stay, not cheap, and the food was a massive let down, both the menu and the price. We must say, the staff were lovely, special shout out to Mel - she was fab. Beware if you are staying whilst the Lister is still closed.

The hotel and staff were lovely but hotel was closing next day and didn’t have many drinks choices. They were clearing out the bar of drinks as we were sitting there about 7.30 so felt like we needed to leave Also had to go to other pub for breakfast. Feel like the room price should have been discounted

The room was lovely with a large comfortable bed and ample space in the bedroom and bathroom, plus ample free parking. This is a dog friendly hotel and there seemed to be lots of guests with their dogs, as well as oursleves. The hotel is set in a lovely village with lots of green space easily accessable from the rooms to take the dog out for toilet breaks and beautiful countryside walks. We ate dinner in the pub, which was delicious and breakfast was equally delicious with the same high quality, local produce. We will definitely be staying here again.
