The air conditioning was broken. The lady at the front desk said it was broken for a while but we were not told upon checkin...come to find we were sent an email that same day about the issue as we are traveling abroad we obviously sometimes are out of cell signal. They should have booked us to a nearby hotel.

Top notch staff and restaurant. Rooms were big and elegant. Close to the Regional station made travel easier.

The bed was an issue, pushing two twin beds together to make a king size caused some troubles while trying to sleep.

Coffee was not so good.

This is a great hotel! We had a lovely room that was beautifully decorated. The hotel is in great shape and updated. The staff was great and very helpful. The restaurant served an amazing dinner. Do not miss eating at the restaurant! We will definitely go again to this hotel if we are in the area! This is a hidden gem! Only drawback was that it was too far to walk into town. Oh well! It was worth the drive to stay at this hotel.

I only stayed one night. It was giid for what I needed. A nice and clean place. Probably the best hotel I've stayed in Idar Oberstein.

It was difficult getting the internet to work, but other than that I had a great stay

They put me in a handicap room the first night. I asked to move the next morning and they let me. The dining is very good. The bar is very popular with locals.

Especially great day staff, check-in and breakfasts were terrific. Setting is beautiful. Hotel is very well appointed. Recommend asking for a room on the side opposite the main road.

The original room did not have air conditioning but when I told the maid I was too warm she immediately dropped everything and went to the desk. They moved us to a larger room on a higher floor with a/c—we’ll worth an extra $40. The restaurant is fabulous—try the schnitzel with mushroom sauce, and the pork filet is delicious. Wonderful stay in a village I first visited in 1970 (date myself much?!). Great place to find yourself after the flight from the US.

The staff were super friendly especially the night staff at the reception area. The guy at the bar was also very attentive to the customers and always serves with a smile. Breakfast buffet has a lot of choices and the kitchen crew makes your eggs for you according to how you want it. The wait staff were all very friendly and made sure the buffet is not lacking any food. The room we stayed at was very comfortable, the bathroom was clean and smells really good. Toiletries were all prepared including a vanity box with sewing kit, shower cap, nail file and cotton pads. There is also sparkling water prepared in the room complimentary to the hotel. We are definitely staying here again!

We had a great time at this wonderful hotel! The breakfast was fantastic!

Slept so well with the sound of the river outside our window. Also the breakfast was very classy.
