We had a great stay at Hyatt Place Albany and were very pleased with the condition of the property. Everything felt well cared for and exceptionally clean, from the lobby to the room. Our room was fresh, comfortable, and spotless, which gave us a lot of peace of mind and made for a relaxing visit. Parking was convenient when checking in, with a spot right by the entrance to unload luggage. Luggage carts were available and came in handy, especially if you’re traveling with more bags. Overnight parking was simple as well—the garage is right next to the hotel, easy to access, and made coming and going stress-free. The complimentary breakfast was another highlight, offering a good variety of hot and cold items that were well prepared and regularly restocked. It was a nice way to start the day before heading out. Overall, Hyatt Place Albany provided an excellent experience—clean, comfortable, and convenient. We would gladly stay here again on a future trip.

3 day stay. toilet not flushing when we got to the room. Front desk wanted me to take the plungers and do it myself. I ask for them to do it, it didn't work. Was told they had no rooms to move us, yet Expedia was saying they had rooms and told us to use the restrooms in the lobby until the next day. next day new front desk person had no idea about the problem. Told them we wanted a refund and we wanted a manager and was told sorry they were in a meeting and then they were off the property. Front desk was rude and could care less we had no bathroom going on 2 days. Such a bad experience.

Location and convenient.

(1) The hotel is fairly new, the room was comfortable overall. The bed was excellent. (2) The building's mechanical systems seemed to have issues despite being new. The room's front door was misaligned and difficult to close. The toilet was not properly bolted to the floor. When the thermostat was briefly set to "heat", it triggered the room's smoke detector which was located only about 18" from the air vent. Not a pleasant night-time surprise. (3) The hotel lobby is, oddly, not on the ground floor and the elevators could be slow. (4) Parking was a little bit of a challenge as the Albany-owned (?) parking lot's payment machines seemed to not work – repeatedly rejecting my credit card as “faulty” - forcing me to download the payment app and use that. (5) There are a range of places to eat and drink (craft beers being ubiquitous), one withing 100’ of the hotel door. Overall, I was happy with the experience, but I hope that the building issues are not representative of the Albany workforce’s construction skills.

Clean, convenient, good breakfast

Had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come to the front desk. Otherwise it's just a normal hotel. Should have done a little more research on the area. Didn't feel unsafe but wouldn't have walked alone in that area.
