A pleasant find in crown Heights neighborhood! Very friendly and convenient location with the added plus of kitchen use. It worked well for us!

I liked the vibe of the , working class neighborhood of old Brooklyn houses. Brownstones, stoops . The family members (owner/ "staff ") were available and helpful. I was very satisfied with the shared kitchen, and was quite comfortable in my room with private bathroom. Nice shower, great air-conditioner! Hard to find anything affordable in NY, so I chose simple/ no frills here and was happily surprised.

Feels like staying with one of those family members who makes you feel welcome but gives you space. The room was clean, quiet, and safe. The hosts and other guests were friendly but everyone had their own day to get to. I loved it here and will be back.

Good price point, good stay. Rooms are located in a classic brownstone building on a residential street in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Very close to the subway, so easy to access the city and more tourist central parts of Brooklyn. I live in the area and needed a place for a couple days between apartments, so I am already familiar with the neighborhood. Could use some upgrades like linens and toiletries, but otherwise a decent place.

Room was spotless and comfortable, in an old, Charming brownstone on a pretty street. Access to a full kitchen. Close to Brooklyn children’s museum and botanical gardens. Merci et à bientôt!

The staff were very helpful, especially as our train was delayed and they made sure someone was there to check us in. The room was basic and dated but clean and tidy. We were only there for one night so didn't get to use the kitchen as we wanted to get out and about to experience the area.

Not the most salubrious part of town but in no way intimidating. Close to local amenities, 10 minute walk to Nostrand Avenue subway hence only 15 minutes to Manhattan on the A Train, gotta say also that the family/staff who own/maintain the property were just fine. I'd definitely stay there again.

The host was very welcoming and understanding, allowing me to check-in my things a bit earlier than the listed time. The check-in and check-out processes were both straightforward and convenient. The bed in the room I stayed at is a bit on the harder side, which I didn't mind at all, but I could see this being a concern for others. Overall, a very great experience!

Very straightforward, clean, and quiet. Generally just what you need for a 1 night stay in the city. Check in and check out was smooth and the bed was very comfortable! All around no issues- perhaps not the best for an extended stay, but this definitely suits the needs of a person just coming through. All around, very nice!

We needed a place to stay in Brooklyn for a couple if nights. The house is well kept and the host friendly. It is an old house with wood interiors. Expect to hear people walking, closing door, and noise from the next room. The room had a full bed, a twin bed, desk with 2 chairs, a tv table w/o tv, and own bathroom. It had fan, a/c and access to living quarters and kitchen. Street parking was available as well as food options close by. Bathroom had supplies (from what seems to be previous tennants). Bed was too firm to my taste and the presence of a foot board made it uncomfortable (as the bed was short for a 6'-2" man). Overall, we are greatful.

My stay was a good one. The family is warm and welcoming yet professional. The house is quite large and my rear of the house room (#5) was spacious, secure and comfortable. I am sensitive to noise and always travel with earplugs; they came in handy as the room is right beside the kitchen. Not terribly noisy, but noticeable to me without earplugs. I would absolutely stay again and am curious to see what the house is like in the busy season with more than two guests. (There was only one guest other than me during my stay, so it was very quiet.) Location is great, walking distance to many great restaurants and markets. Fantastic bagel spot on corner of Franklin Ave and Lincoln Place and great Caribbean food even closer. Unable to speak on transportation since I drove. As always, on the street parking in NYC is not fun with alternate side and no parking lots or decks in the neighborhood, so be warned! All things considered, it was a great stay.

Wonderful location in Brooklyn, with free on sreet parking just outside the door. Low key staff was not overbearing. Shared bath was roomy, clean, and provided all of the essentials.
