Very attentive manager. Helped with attraction information, actually showed us our room and how to operate lights, etc. Had our breakfast table set up with a hard boiled egg ready. (We didn’t ask for an egg ) but it emphasized the amazing old school service.

The place was cozy and familiar. The owner was an excellent assistance to me…I experienced an accident while traveling through Austria an he was so kind that he voluntered to assist me to find the quickest way to get the police report. I really thanked him for his kindness and friendship. He made me and my wife feel at home!!!!!

This property is very basic. Part of it operates as a hostel. When I asked the manager if I could use the laundry facilities, he asked what and why I needed to do laundry, if we were only staying for one night. The towels look about 50 years old...mismatched colors and very thin. Parking is in a public lot a short walk from the hotel, but a long drive. Waitress in the pizzeria next door is cranky, as well. When we asked to sit inside rather than outside, she rolled her eyes and slammed the menus on the table.

Loved my stay at this hotel. Rooms are clean and well maintained. One thing I want to highlight is their hair dryer is one of the best I have seen in all my stays in Europe!!! The owner is also very welcoming along with his dog and staff.

Beautiful hotel and very well located in beautiful Gosern town, 15 minutes away from Hallstatt. The room was great, looks very new and convenient. Totally recommended.
