Fantastic place, lovely and clean and very close to everything, cinema, pubs, restaurants all within a couple of minutes walk, Kevin and Tracey were both fantastic and very friendly, we will definitely be staying here again!

Fantastic guest house right in the heart of Ambleside, everything is on your doorstep. Hosts were friendly and really helpful, good local knowledge of walks etc. Room was spotless, great en-suit. The breakfast was amazing, we had a full English first morning, lovely coffee, yogurt with honey and granola, which set us up for a full day of walking, second day we had the salmon and eggs, again with coffee, yogurt with honey and granola, great quality produce, I'd say award winning! Will certainly be back.

The whole experience was great, very clean, modern and the breakfast was delicious with lots of options to choose from. Parking much easier than expected, secure parking was provided a short walk away, and easy on street parking for loading. The owners are very friendly and approachable and even helped with our bags.

Melrose Guest house is a beautiful place to stay in the Ambelside, Lakes National Park, and Windemere area. It is conveniently located in town by restaurants, ships, and trails. The room was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing every day of our stay. This is the place to stay in Ambelside!

Melrose House Guest House is the most beautifully maintained and comfortable place we have stayed in for some time. The rooms are beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. Tracey and Kevin are fabulous hosts and the breakfast is amazing. The location of the Guest House could not be better. 100% recommended.

Great place, friendly staff, comfy beds, great breakfast.

The room was lovely and the hosts very friendly and helpful. Parking is not at the property but at a car park down the road in a safe private enclosure. The breakfast was freshly cooked and very tasty. The guest house is in the centre of Ambleside and would recommend.

Breakfast was the best we have had in the Lake District. Very welcoming hosts. Lovely room with all needed for stay. Spotlessly clean.

We had a brilliant stay at Melrose B&B. Our room was immaculate and had everything we needed. Staff were very helpful and parking was provided. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and the food was excellent. We would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning

Beautiful room exceptionally clean , Tracy very welcoming and given good information as too breakfast which again was beautifully cooked very attentive , checking in and checkout was a breeze plus having lock up parking off the street was a bonus , great location only think when busy yiu need to book restaurants in advance definitely recommend this guesthouse
