This property was perfect for a one night stop over or maybe even a weekend. It’s clean and friendly which is all you need for a short stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at The George,everything was perfect..the room was very comfortable and looked great when we first opened the door.. the staff are friendly and helpful..breakfast was good too lots to choose from ..and the bar staff are very obliging especially Connor..They have a good team there..and every where is spotless,also the Hotel is in a good position…

Although the rooms were lovely and recently refurbished they would strongly benefit from AC. The fans in the room are not adequate. Unfortunately we had to leave early but would’ve struggled to stay In the room down to the heat

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Supper in the restaurant was good and the cooked breakfast was excellent. Would stay there again.

Excellent room & breakfast.

All though the the room was ok as a single but not worth the money, better out there for the same cost. Sinks taps only one worked. Dinner was terrible, ask for a simple amendment to my dish and it never happened, the waiter said and I quote, it just come out like that, you can always leave it on the plate if you don't like it. No mention of I will take it back. The food itself was terrible gammon like rubber, salad with brown edges, never again. Kitchen with seems not to care about the food they serve. Didn't dare stay for the breakfast, just left never to return.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room was spacious and clean. We had dinner at the hotel and it was excellent and reasonably priced.

It isvery old building which adds to tis charm but makes access to first and second floors for over 8o's difficult. I probably would not have booked the stay had I know about the incredibly steep and narrow stairs to our room. The staff in the main were friendly and helpful

The hotel had a grand and atmospheric dining room, and the staff, both at breakfast and checking in/out were most welcoming and friendly. A very good breakfast too.
