Brand new motel. Beautiful pool. Convenient to hi-way 95. Breakfast was good and beds are very comfortable.

I only got a room here to have somewhere cold to sleep at night local to my family beach house that my dog was welcome. I also planned to sleep the last day prior to driving 6-8 hours home. The one thing that was an issue was the AC. It seemed to rarely kick on and kept kicking the heat on without me even touching the thermostat. So that was frustrating, up and down all night trying to mess with the AC. I was moved rooms for my last not even full day there and the AC was still a hassle. I didn’t get but an hour of sleep before driving home. The room I was moved to the AC made a loud double clicking noise both in the front room and bedroom everytime it kicked on. It woke me up right as I fell asleep which was beyond frustrating when I just needed to sleep that day for a few hours. I gave up after one hour of sleep before leaving and regretted even moving rooms for a few hours. Otherwise, it was very clean and newly renovated. Definitely the nicest most updated best western I have stayed at but the AC situation made it more frustrating than comfortable. If you enjoy a cold environment to sleep then you will be disappointed- 68 degrees is basically what it allowed from what I was told. I couldn’t sleep with the loud thermostat noise at all for the time I needed to sleep the most, before driving.

This hotel was clean and updated. It was also very convenient. What could make it better would be free water in the room. For the price, I should not have had to pay $3.00 for a bottle of Poland Spring.

Check in was ok except no coffee, pot was covered up and out of order. Could barely hear the person at front desk, it was so loud in the room attached to lobby kept having to ask what did you say. Room was decent, bed was uncomfortable for my taste way too soft. Pool was very clean, no shade not even a umbrella for tables. The restroom/ shower for the pool area was strange. No door just a curtain to pull back. Not safe to me. First night there no hot water. Complained and they say they would check into it. We weren't the only ones. About 2 hours later finally got hot water, but they never came up or called us. We had to keep trying the water. Very unacceptable breakfast the first morning. Came down 45 minutes after breakfast started and nothing. No coffee, no waffle mix, few pieces of bread, no plates, no cups. I went to front desk and they were like the person that runs it is late you'll have to wait. Come on someone has to know how to do something, you have all these people waiting and can't do anything. One of reasons we booked here was the full buffet breakfast, wasnt expecting a great breakfast isnt my first time at a hotel buffet, but was expecting something. Finally about another 30 minutes we started getting food. Personal note no sugar free syrup. Close to Mystic Area about 15min drive, that was a plus. Had a Starbucks right at the end of driveway, if you perfer a coffee place.

Both women working at the front desk were rude and certainly not helpful! I booked this hotel because of the outdoor pool during our trip to Mystic. Checkout was 11 am. We were told we could not use the pool after 11. I have NEVER had a hotel not allow facilities used on Checkout date!!! But they allow a different guest a large pool gathering with food being grilled!!! I have pictures!!! My room was not cleaned. Was told you need 24 hours notice to have new towels, trash emptied ect... I will NEVER stay with this hotel chain again! I went away to relax not clean or cook your so called free breakfast!

This was actually the nicest Best Western I have stayed at, personally. In my home state it’s an outdoor style hotel which I just don’t care for Regardless, it was always a pleasant and friendly experience for me. My only issue with this specific one was the AC. I was there only at night time to shower and sleep, then left. I reserved this room specifically because it was SO hot and crowded at my family beach house and so I could sleep during the day before driving back home. They switched my room prior which was the day of leaving due to AC issues in mine once I realized what was going on. It wasn’t any better. If you’re like me and you just want a nice COLD room to sleep in, this isn’t for you. 68 degrees is at best what it gets to. Also, I didn’t get sleep as planned prior to my drive home because the unit went click click” very loud both in the living area and bedroom before it ran again. Seems to be the only local one pet friendly in CT which is a plus for me. The AC situation for me, at least just made the stay not good for me and drove home exhausted. I got the room to sleep somewhere cold, with my dog for two nights. That didn’t happen which is why I rated it as I did. If you don’t need your room COLD and the thermostat not waking you right when you fall to sleep then it would be perfect for you in a room the heat didn’t randomly kick on in. Otherwise, would’ve been great!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Our room had LEAKS ALL OVER THE CEILING, and WATER ON THE FLOOR! This place may look freshly “renovated” but it’s all a façade. It’s made of cardboard. Don’t be fooled! The walls are paper thin, and you’ll hear everything. The staff are incompetent and in desperate need of training. We went up to the front desk staff and asked for extra pillows cause my husband needs to keep his head elevated due to his vertigo. The guy at the front desk asked us for our room number and never came with the pillows. He could have at least called us and let us know if there weren’t any. Body wash dispenser in the shower was completely empty, so we used the shampoo to wash our bodies. And we were never told when we checked in that we needed to ask for housekeeping if we want our room cleaned. So we came back from our outing still with no body wash, dirty towels and an unmade bed. And that doesn’t include the puddles on the floor from the leaky ceiling! When we mentioned it to the front desk, he said that there’s a little sign written on a little stand located on the side of the large desk indicating that housekeeping needs to be requested. No one would have noticed the little sign. The staff should have mentioned it when we checked in, just like all the other hotels that have limited housekeeping all over the country. And the guy who checked us in sneakily signed us up for the Best Western points program even though we specifically said that we don’t want to sign up!!!

Bedding extremely comfortable, room clean and comfortable, air conditioning perfect, nice breakfast. Close to highway. Caring staff. Thank you.

The overall stay was amazing. The comfort was the best I’ve experienced in years. The beds were so soft and comfortable, I immediately went to sleep after settling in. The only issue was the shower door, it wouldn’t stay closed. So, I had to use a washcloth to keep it closed. I’m sure that’s an easy fix, so I wouldn’t let that deter me from staying again. The hotel was clean, offered free breakfast, plus has a little snack store for a late night bite. Check-in was easy, staff were lovely. I’d stay again.

Such a shame. The property seems very clean and new, but the place must be made of cardboard because everything is audible. The layout of the hallway reverberates all of the door slamming happening up and down the hallway, and neighbors upstairs and next-door can be hurt through the thin walls and flooring. Would not stay here again.

When we arrived at our hotel we found a newly renovated, very clean and comfortable room. Additionally, we especially like the updated flooring that did not include carpeting. Bathrooms were also newly renovated and found the bed and bedding very comfortable. Furthermore, the breakfast was good and including in the cost of our stay.

It was clean, new, and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

Easy access off interstate, clean, quiet, very comfortable bed. View out window was paving debris and a dumpster but quiet.

This property is easily located off I95 with just as easy to get back on 95. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.
