Horrible experience. We paid for a premium suite facing the water and when we showed up, someone else was in it. We were offered a smaller room with NO kitchen which we reserved for. We had fresh produce we had throw away. We were told this never happens and then we saw a log book where guests fill out their experience and it happened to someone else too recently. The bathroom became clogged and water stopped running. Either these owners are incompetent or they are baiting and switching on people because of demand and limited availability.

This is the ugliest and most dreadful spot in Cheticamp. This “hotel” sits at the bottom of a hill in a dusty parking lot facing working pier. There are bright lights on all night and by 4;30 am you can hear the beeping on the pier. There is no office. You call to check in. The tell you you “suite” and it’s unlock. There is a sign telling you if you use a glass or cup to wash it and put it away but there is no dish soap. The bed sheets are old and thin. This is not the place you want to stay when visiting beautiful Cape Breton.

My sons and I stayed here for one night. The property manager was wonderful! She answered all of our questions, helped me find a car service in the area and then checked back to make sure everything went well. Hotel was clean and comfortable and the location to the harbour was great for my boys!!!

This property is right on the fishing dock. Transports coming In dusty all gravel. Smells like a crab plant. Not nice atmosphere. Old and antiquated. Nothing there no water no front desk just a house with rooms.

It was also conveniently close to the Skyline Trail, which was one of the main reasons we chose this property. The room itself was small, but this was expected as the square footage was clearly advertised. My only concern was with the sofa bed. It made a screeching noise whenever my son moved, which made it a bit difficult for him to sleep comfortably. It seems that the metal frame of the bed might be quite old or possibly loose.

Lovely property looking onto the working harbour. Very comfortable and staff were extremely helpful. Only stayed for one night, but it would be a good base to explore the area.

The room and set up were not comparable to the price that we paid. It was like a room in a private residence with outdated furnishings.

Three people in a room so small we couldn’t open the suitcases and walk to the bathroom. The sofa bed made so much noise whenever someone rolled over it woke everyone up. The noise from the room over us also kept everyone awake until midnight. I don’t know why there are so many good reviews. Perhaps some of the rooms are larger/ better than ours was.

Nice spot, only detractor is the coffee pods were empty so i wasn't able to make coffee

No staff except by phone but when I phoned them for confirmation, they were very helpful.
