Hotel looks very dated, room looked slightly better, but still in need of repairs. Nobody at reception to do check in, they send a message asking to provide ID copy through WhatsApp and then give you access codes to hotel and room. Hot and cold water hit and miss, took verylong time for hot water to run in the sink, shower opposite became hot water only very quickly, no cold water. Ok for one night stay, but wouldn't return.

The hotel was great, well located, but very noisy at night. I didn't sleep well because of the noise from the people who were there.

Room needs a deep clean. Dirty water drip marks on door to bathroom and also some dried brown streeks. Wardrobe had dead inserts on the shelf and base. Towel was worn around the edges, wearing thin and small holes not what I expect from a hotel. No housekeeping unless you paid extra. So had to use the same towel of 5 days. Toiletaries supplied for day 1. The windows were filthy, did not look like they had been cleaned for a year. Externally, the hotel needs significant maintenance. Wifi hardly worked. The room I stayed in was not in the 21 photos on Expedia. One positive, the bed was clean and comfortable and the hotel location on seafront close to pier, shops. 2nd worst hotel I've stayed in anywhere in the country in 35 years. Will not stay again and would not recommend.

A Japanese-style tearai washbasin is simply not adequate for washing one's face or brushing teeth, especially when there isn't enough room to approach it head on by straddling one's legs either side of the toilet. Such a contrivance is only meant for HANDWASHING after using the toilet, not for full night-time/morning ablutions, BUT it isn't even adequate for handwashing when one has to stand to one side of it because of aforementioned lack of toilet-straddling space AND the idiot who installed it put the tap on the very side from which one might - albeit in cramped fashion - approach the basin. With the tap on the only possible approach side, one has to try and get one's hands wet in a decidedly cack-handed manner, and then aim one's tooth-brushing spit - with the ridiculously tiny amount of water one is able to get in one's mouth from the tap pointed in the wrong direction - over the annoyingly-placed encumbrance. It is clumsy, extremely inconvenient and very, very messy. Good grief, at least have someone come and put the damn tap on the other side if you really can't figure out where to install a proper washbasin! This, and the complete lack of wardrobe, chest of drawers or even a shelf on which to put clothes, necessitating literally "living out of a suitcase" made one feel that being single means you get stuffed in a cupboard - the approximate size of the room - and left to deal with it. Even for just 2 nights, it was highly inconvenient. But staff members were very nice.

Room basic but very clean. Had a wonderful sea view but as the hotel is on the seafront it can be quite noisy from the road traffic. There is no reception as such, you have to phone a number and a member of staff appears and takes you up to your room. There is also no housekeeping at all, not even your bin emptied. Be aware although the hotel says it gives you the £2 a day parking when I asked for one I was told they didn’t have any so it cost us £9.95 a day to park our car. Annoying as this is one of the reasons we booked this hotel. Overall though for the price we paid for the room we were happy with what we got. Hotel across from the beach and only a short walk into town which is a bonus.

It is very nice budget accommodation. The location is outstanding, right on the beach. The parking could be a challenge. It cost £10 a day. Shower was lovely hot. All restaurants are close by. Including band stand. We have a lovely stay. We will come back again

For the price it was good enough and I had a good stay and good night's sleep. The shower had no hot water and there's a pub nearby that was noisy but otherwise ok. Parking is very hard to find nearby.

We were thankfully only staying for one night, as the experience was extremely disappointing and nowhere near what was advertised. Our room was located in the basement, with very steep stairs to access it — something that was especially difficult while travelling with a toddler and a buggy. The basement-level window was directly at street level, so all we could see were people’s feet and passing vehicles. Unfortunately, the noise insulation was also very poor, and it genuinely felt as though we were trying to sleep on the street itself due to the constant noise outside. While the room appeared superficially clean, there were no rugs or soft flooring, and the overall condition did not feel particularly comfortable or welcoming. The room also smelled strongly of cigarettes throughout our stay. There were several maintenance and safety concerns that were quite alarming. The door could not be locked from the inside, which made us feel very uneasy, especially travelling as a family. In addition, the fridge provided in the room was leaking. What was most frustrating was that the room we were given did not resemble the advertised photos at all. In fact, photos of this particular basement room do not appear to be shown anywhere in the listing, which felt very misleading. Overall, this was not the standard of accommodation we expected, and I would strongly advise future guests — especially families with young children — to consider carefully before booking.
